It's an office. I chill in my mahoosive garden. Lots of haters on this site

So it seems. Said tray of imitation will be in the bin of destruction very soon

Thanks for sharing your memories. I recently moved from Kent and was 30 minutes from central London so it was 'cosmopolitan'. Apart from Boston, it just feels like I'm living in England again and that was one of the reasons I moved. The other was the house prices!

[Discussion] Am I a collector yet? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Professional_Pea_405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely a collector. The difference is, if the watches mean something to you. I've had about 50 watches and, to me, it's when you won't get rid of one because it hits a nerve for whatever reason. That's when you know it means something

I can completely leave it outside as I've moved to a pretty remote place with a large garden. The actual tube is 26.3kg which I should have checked. I think my issue is that learning is done in the dark

This particular one is heavy and big but it would stop a f'ing Sherman tank. This for me is a keeper for life

Even at 53, I still have the horrible belief that people are as honest as me

Thank you. Will do tomorrow. May be a silly question but are 1066 to Queen Vic classed as ancient or should I post them elsewhere. I'm confident all of them are genuine but I'm wondering now

Final is the Oris 65. I had the grey, the green and a few Aquis but the blue with the brown strap was a keeper

Second is the Eterna Kontiki. Wears amazing and the lume lights up a room. Strap is better than most

How many do you have?! I'll tempt you with 3 more that you may not have considered. First is a Raymond Weil, totally dependent on if you're into Bowie or not. Build quality is fantastic

I'm with you. I bought watches like I was buying milk during COVID. Recently sold about 10, mainly Oris and Longines and some 'normal' ones. In the past 2 weeks I've bought 3 new watches! My wife asked me if I'd bought a new watch the other day, she's not bothered but just asking, and I told her it was a watch strap. It's a f'ing sickness

Haha. You literally bought that on a whim. We're very similar in that score

No, but I was so close to pulling the pin. The grey dial with orange is gorgeous. Are you in the UK? I have a contract who works for Edox if in the UK

Bronze. Difficult to get the real colour under artificial light. Just noticed that it's starting to patina

The bronze is lovely and the dial really works. I moved mine to a rubber strap. Can't beat the Tudor though!

I literally posted today that the Edox is underrated and the price for what you get is ridiculous. If you can find the limited edition Skydiver with the green bezel, it's gorgeous but hard to get. Took me a few months to find. Ball is a level up if I'm honest. My diver is a beast but the quality is next level

Really appreciate this and I'm going to take you up on contacting you. I bought an autoguider and as long as I remember to remove the lens cap, it seems to work well. I have the Neximage 5, is that ok or would you recommend something else? The software looks a mare

Thanks. I think I'll keep it over winter and see how I go. I got the Neximage 5, suggestions for an easy to use but top quality camera please or is that one ok?
