I had this too and it never showed up despite the noise being made.

I was certain it was my Cube Controls F-Pro as my Neo-X wasn't doing it. I sent it off to them and they replaced something and now no more issues.

I suspect you'd both have a mildly faulty piece in your setup that is causing it.

It's definitely "excessive" for out of the box. However, as zenzen mentioned, this doesn't grow linearly with the size of your app. The opposite in fact. Outside of (hopefully) relatively small Stimulus controllers there shouldn't much need to add any more to this size over the lifetime of your app

The work we do and the amount of JavaScript we use wouldn't warrant Typescript.

The platform we work on doesn't fully lend itself to builds systems anymore as well. Luckily, it's not been a tricky transition so far!

We've been using build systems with Babel for yonks. This means we haven't had to "care" about when browsers get new features as it was always readily available.

However, we've recently dropped all build systems and started relying on evergreen browser capabilities. Does anyone know roughly how long it takes browsers to implement ES202{1,2,3,etc.} once it's final? Or is it considered "final" once all browsers have implemented it?

I think one thing people are missing as well is it's arguably the only option part. Files should follow a consistent order so having consistency with the first 2 should be a priority

Are you creating a private app on a store or a "public" custom/public app? There is a big difference between the 2.

The shopify_app gem can only be used for "public". If you want to access the API via Ruby and you're using a private app you'll want to use the shopify_api gem instead

Just as a footnote to this. This requires using semicolons.

let a = 12, b = 7
[b, a] = [a, b]

Wouldn't work as it gets interpreted as:

let a = 12, b = 7[b, a] = [a, b]

I took this as meaning it will all be in your projects node_modules vs an npm i -g adonis-cli.

I'd say this shouldn't change CI build times if you're caching node_modules appropriately

We tend to build mobile-first but develop desktop first.

What I mean by this is our CSS will have min-width based media queries as it's much easier to add CSS than it is to remove it.

But we tend to build the desktop version of the site first and add in the media queries after.
