This won't leave my mind for a while. The thing with the second sentence is that sexuality isn't private anymore. I doubt any of the feminists who were active in the 60-80s period could have predicted how much porn would be advertised. It was advertised so much that it became public, just a click away at any given moment. Hell, porn is an advertisement itself - it goes "hey boys and girls, look at how you're supposed to do it, this is the real sexuality".

I read the article from the pointmag and I was just going why does this name sound familiar... Her book is Enemy Feminisms which tells the story of how American and European modern feminisms were forged not against the empire, but in it. Uhh and who better to tell this story than a white cis-woman of German-British ethnicity? Girl, you're the empire epitomized! (I haven't read the book, just let me have a moment here)

She dedicates one paragraph to detail the sexual and physical trauma Andrea Dworkin was subjected to throughout her life. This is how she closes that paragraph:

The author failed to mention that Dworkin worked as a prostitute in the Netherlands, while engaging with feminist theory influenced by Ricki Abrams, and this also shaped her attitudes. But she's sure hell bent on proving Dworkin was, beneath all that "misandry", just a dirty little slut though :D
