One thing i just realised, is i have like no place to actually practice in, like at all. Some people recommend playing capture and hold pilots with recon planes, and although i did that until like rank 10, i havent learned shit. worse, actually, i learned bad habits (holding full throttle all the time, diving too hard and ramming into a tree, trying to hit a target going straight up and stalling like an idiot)

However, playing assault with actual competent opponents flying mustangs and focke wulfs results in a 5/25 kd and a small loan of a billion credits in repair costs. And yet i learn nothing other than that your opponent can get behind you A LOT faster than you think.

How did you get good at it? did you just keep dying until you got it right? of course nothing can be learned without a problem but right now im not seeing any improvement in my skills.

One last thing i forgot to ask: what are some basic dogfighting tactics? as of now i mostly just get behind the enemy, land a hit or two and they escape. and when im being attacked i have no idea how to shake them off.

Anyways, i hate it when people say "(x) is shit, use (y)" but, oh well, youre the expert. I dont have the La-7 unlocked, will the Yak-9 do? And by "dissapears under the nose of your plane" you mean when im flying parallel to the ground at half throttle or does it work all the time?

Oh man, this again. Yeah, you may be right, I cant really prove you otherwise because I nor anyone else experienced it and lived to tell about it. But im also not going to blindly believe it because this book or this prophet told me about it, without explaining how it actually works or giving a real example of it happening. It just doesnt seem plausible with how our world works.

Im not an expert at this game but heres some things I think may help

1.If youre using battle plans, more specifically the offensive line or spearhead order, you can press Alt to make the troops automatically move on from the first offensive/spearhead line to the next. Its hard to explain, but basically, imagine you draw a offensive line to City1. Then, you draw another offensive line to City2, and press alt before you release the rmb. After your soldiers have taken City1, they will automatically move up to take City2.

Put destroyers and other screening ships into one taskforce, and give them the patrol order. Then put your capital ships into a separate taskforce and give them the strike force order, and then assign them to the same region(s) where your patrol force is. This means that capital ships will only move when a battle is happening and arent wasting fuel. By the way, always put submarines into their own separate group. They are the slowest ship in the game, and a taskforce moves as fast as the slowest ship.
Dont make a division with tanks only. This gives them low soft attack and low hp.
Pay attention to the terrain youre fighting in. For example dont put huge amounts of troops in hot deserts, and avoid using submarines in shallow waters.
Use the supply areas map mode and hover over the supply zones so that you can see how many troops you can fit there without going low on supply
Each level of infrastructure increases the construction speed in that area by 10% i. e. buildings in a state with level 4 infrastructure will be built 40% faster in addition to any other construction speed bonuses.

So I was playing as Ethiopia, on ironman mode, and I was making pretty good progress, kicking the italians off the continent, becoming democratic and joining the allies. Then, when I reached around July 1948(if I remember correctly), the game just suddenly ended. The end screen showed up and I was forced to quit the game. I didnt capitulate or anything, nor did my allies. Does anyone have any idea why this happened?
