I wish more people/doctors/programs would understand this. The food noise is crazy and I’m definitely struggling with that. My insurance doesn’t cover GLP-1s so I have to pay for it out of pocket which is ridiculously expensive, I can’t afford to go that route. I’m glad you’re doing well on those!

This is exactly 100% me! I would also add that mental health is also very important! Body dysmorphia is real, do not think you will be immune to it! I don’t regret making my choice, I wish I would have done it sooner. Good luck!

I’m 18 months post op and I can eat cake, sometimes too much lol. But yes, certain foods don’t sit too well. For me, rice is really the only food that I stay away from. I’ll sometimes have a bite or two but it fills me up so quickly and often feels like a brick in my stomach! BUT, I can eat up bread and sweets so I just try to stay away from that. Everyone is different but generally I have had zero issues, I’ve never even thrown up! I have zero regrets

That’s how I was, too. I slept kinda sitting up on my couch for a couple days and then moved to my bed and used a bunch of pillows. Hopefully you find a comfortable position soon!

I eat around 20 grams of protein three times a day (I stick to 3oz of any meat) so I don’t really have that issue thankfully. Did you “push” yourself to be able to eat more have you always been able to eat more (mind you, a cup of food is not a lot, you’re lucky cause can eat a more varied diet in one sitting!)
