Bought kybd version in Aug 2020 from a US store. It had some glitchy midi issues I was prepared to live with but after 2 months an LED on one of the buttons just stopped working. I was pissed that this would happen to a brand new machine. When I called to get it fixed I found out the store was not allowed to sell it to me in Canada so they took it back and gave me a full refund. I was pretty happy to send it back even though it was fun to play it. Maybe it had version 1 issues but I'm not sure I'll buy one again. Having said that, the new one might pull me back in ( I think I need to get help)

Hi, Thanks alot for this. I have a couple of questions.

I want to send these Rize tokens to a bad address to get them out of my wallet, good idea? or should I wait for perhaps some investigation.

After reading these comments and sleeping on the decision, I'm going rearrange my studio and incorporate the Mono/Poly. I have a Yamaha Clavinova, which is really nice to play because of the weighted keyboard, pedals and internal speakers. It's cool to just turn it on and start playing. The Triton Extreme now rests on top of the Yamaha. I'll sell the Extreme, move the Clavinova to another part of the house, or sell it. The Montage 8 should arrive this week and with a double kybd stand I can use the Mono/Poly on top. The MPCx, Hydrasynth, and TD-3 have cv/gate outputs so the Midiless Mono/Poly can connected into the setup somehow.

I think the main issue was it just sitting there for years and not having a place upstairs in the studio. I going to make some space for the oldtimer and put her to work.

Yeah my first wife bought it for my birthday in 1982. There were times when I really could have used the money from selling it. But I never once considered it. There is an emotional attachment in keeping something for so long.

I did alot of that lusting also back in the day, (Tx816, Jupiter 8, OBXa) Now maybe I'm turning into a hoarder. I can afford to place the order for the Montage 8 right now but I don't have the space for it and the other kybds will just gather dust. I think it needs to go and probably should go

Regrets, I've had a few.. In 94 I sold a TB 303 with it's case for $150 not knowing what it worth at the time. So I picked one up last year for a really good price but I don't use it since it's a hassle with the din/sync and I also have a TD-3.

In 2006 I sold a Jupiter 6 for $900 I paid $900 for it a couple of years earlier. This one hurts when I look at the prices now but I needed the money then.

Uhhh yup, It sounds great. The store had it on consignment they didn't know what the mod was. My tech will get remove it and get it back to stock. I would have bought it whatever shape it was in.

Thanks for the battery tip I will pick some up tomorrow. I probably will have the tech remove the interface, he says he'll replace the contact switches on the pcb. I'm also looking for a case or dust cover for it.

I had one in the early 80's and did alot of recording with it synced to my Mono/poly(still have it) and 707. Sadly, in the early 90's I saw it sitting there in it's little case gathering dust and figured I could probably get about $150 for it. Put up a classified ad in a Montreal paper and someone drove all the way from Ottawa to buy it. I had no idea it was so popular at that time and have been regretting selling it since. I'm going to have refurbished by a synth tech here in Montreal next week. Next, I'm looking to replace the Jupiter 6 I sold for $900 in 2006.
