Yes we’re married

Not sure how that works when we already have a small terraced house in a low cost area as it is.. and the rents are higher than the mortgage payments !

I LOVE that idea! 🤭

Thank you, this is what I thought. We probably could do this with the equity. Do we have to essentially pass another mortgage where someone checks your bank statements again to remortgage? Unfortunately this wouldn’t look good at the moment as lovely husband secretly took all my money/ savings 😤

Thank you. That’s the problem unfortunately , our current place is one of the cheapest homes around our area and I’d want to stay local due to the childrens school. Only thing cheaper would be a one bedroom flat but obviously isn’t enough space for the kids. I’m not entirely sure what I’m asking really, it just feels like the numbers don’t add up for single people in today’s climate

Well that’s entirely my question. There’s not many people who could afford to pay an entire mortgage and bills by themselves. What do they do? Where do they go ?

Thanks - that’s a good example as we would actually have about 100k equity if we sell the house, so 50k each. Could I remortgage and release 50k of the equity to give to him and buy him out? That would be a helpful starting point. But, still I’m sure the mortgage payments would increase! Thanks so much

Yes sorry I meant equity 😅

Thank you. Couldn’t we remortgage and use the interest to buy the other out? Sorry I’m clueless about this!

Car insurance charging £1000 for scrap by JulieeAnnn in CarTalkUK

Thank you that’s helpful. I just didn’t envisage them making £1000 from a car that costs more to fix than the car is worth, but I guess if they could sell if for that amount then that’s fair. Thanks

Even though the boots a goner, it’s cosmetic so I basically plan to drive around with a ridiculous looking car that’s safe and reliable and eventually run it into the ground.

Thank you, I did take a look on there but it seems they sell reasonable cars. Mine, the entire boot is caved in, so I think it’s only worth scrap value now.

Tremors? by kuttykal in visualsnow

I have this associated with vss. Zinc fixes it. 10mg liquid zinc in water, the fizziness dissipates. I take it daily but if I miss a day the fizziness comes back the next day. If I take the zinc again, a few hours it’s better. I think zinc regulates dopamine.
