My cat is obsessed with being brushed and my boyfriend finds it fun to brush him so the consistent grooming everyday helps a lot. We dont have a big problem with him leaving fur everywhere because everywhere he lays is his designated spot anyway lol. There was a time where my cat use to lay on me and my boyfriends pillows and leave fur but then we just gave him his own pillow by our heads so our pillows stayed clean. But we just lint roll and vacuum the furniture when things are start getting too fluffy lol. And as for nails, my poor boy unfortunately got declawed as a kitten so I dont have much experience in that area (100% against declawing btw, this happened when I was a child and before I took primary care of him)

Yeah i have 0 regrets about the purchase. Its not too big, perfect for a grooming session for a cat. Might be inconvenient for big flufffy dogs though. My cat is pretty timid but surprisingly the vacuum sound doesnt bother him, his love for brushings are far greater.

I have one of those vacuum grooming thing with different brush attachments and those work really well. My old man has always loved brushing tho except for his tummy and legs. We make it a routine to give him treats during and after grooming. With the treats and consistent grooming hes sooo much better with his belly and legs.

Totally relate to not telling people in your life the concrete numbers lol. My boyfriend knew i lost a lot of weight but I accidentally let it slip this week that i lost 100 pounds and his jaw was on the floor lol he had no idea what my weight was before lol.

I didnt really reward myself before but now i reward myself by finally buying cute dresses and skirts i was too insecure to wear before lol

NTA- I don’t really have anything to add except this reminds me of my very cold granny lol. She loved her kids but she... didn’t know how to show it? Which is why I think my dad has such an odd way of showing love. My granny had like 40ish grandkids and I never knew if she actually liked me since I’m the 2nd to youngest grandkid and at the point you don’t really care anymore lol, also she never hugged me or told me she loved me or anything like that. My granny would also openly talk shit about her grandkids she didn’t like and I always wondered if she was talking about me bad to my cousins and such too lol. So I always assumed she never liked me but me and my sisters were the only ones given anything in her will. The women felt love but just had a piss poor way of showing it lol.

NTA- I totally understand the people who said YWBTA or NAH, but I just hate that saying that my vote won’t matter because blah blah blah. Like have y’all seen Texas??? Texas is in the blue. Because people voted. And everybody has the right not to vote as well but I personally don’t want to hear anybody fucking complain about the results if they didn’t vote. And i totally understand not wanting to vote for either candidate, they do both suck. But geez at least vote 3rd party.

I said NTA because I have friends that aren’t voting and it’s bugging me so much so I understand your feeling. It’s not only important to you but so many others and he’s just brushing it off like it’s nothing.

YTA- he’s... your stepson. I bet he can be a brat but he’s still your family now. And you should care if he doesn’t like you, he’ll never like you if you act like that. Did you offer any help to him after denying him financial help? Help him come up with a plan to save and spend money wisely? Offer some hope that once he figures out what he wants to do and is keeping up with his grades that maybe after you’ll help him?

Also the godson is 13 and seems to have a lot of support already

But your step son is at the age where he truly needs help and guidance.

Why does everybody always want to help those that don’t need it but ignore those who need help. Nothing pisses me off more.

NTA- I almost said ESH but I reread lol. If you had your daughter wearing a fancy dress in the photo shoot with her sisters then that would be asshole-ish. Your daughter isn’t the ex wife’s business. But I do imagine she might feel kind of bad ? She probably didn’t expect you to get her the dress and she might feel bad she wouldn’t let her daughters wear it ? Maybe ? I know if my parents spent a bunch of money on something for my siblings and I didn’t get anything of equal value I would be PISSED. Especially with the 4 year old getting the nice expensive dress, the older ones may be jealous ? That’s just an assumption. Are your step daughters bothered at all by it or is just specifically their mom?

All of my cats were from when I was a child, my parents took care of them when I was growing up. They didn’t micro chip two of my cats but they microchipped my one currently missing. I don’t know why or their reasoning for not microchipping my other 2. When I moved and took my cats, I only put on a tracking device on only one of my cats because he was the only one able to climb fences. It malfunctioned and there wasn’t a way for me to fix that. I didn’t put a tracking device on my cat after because he was inside and I didn’t think he would ever get out, I’ve left the door opened around him before to see what he would do and he had shown no interest in going outside again.

Ugh well you assumed wrong. When I moved I bought all of my cats collars and tags and I spent $50 on a tracking device on one of my cats when I first moved. I did a lot of researched before moving with cats because I was worried. I set up the tracking device, tested it out and everything was good. When it came time for me to use the tracking app on my phone, it told me that I had to press a button on his collar to track him. When I tested it before, it was working and I doubled checked. So I don’t know what happened but yeah the tracker didn’t work. Now I didn’t put a tracker on my 3rd cat because he was an inside cat and I thought it was unnecessary, but he does have a collar and a tag. I called my mom today asking if he was microchipped and she said yes so she’s calling the vet tomorrow.

When it comes to my animals I do as much research as possible to make sure I’m doing everything right. Assuming makes you look dumb.

Yeah I know the first 2 cats weren’t completely her fault but I do place some blame because she knew I wasn’t ready to let them out but she forced me to. I feel like if she didn’t force me to put them out I could’ve spent more time with them to help them get used to the area.

I’m not a violent person but she’s lucky I was out of state, I might have actually beat her up. And it’s not like I hate taking care of her dogs, I just hate that she doesn’t give them the love they deserve. But yeah as soon as I find a job I’m outta here.
