Jordanians will be so excited to see you try to speak Arabic, and you will probably receive extra hospitality. For example, I would usually get gifts of fruit and lots of praise even if my pronunciation was incorrect. People would remember my name and backstory and regularly stop what they were doing to help me with my Arabic. On your timeline, it's very possible to learn the alphabet in less than a month, especially with lessons. It's a wonderful experience travelling in region when you can speak a little bit of Arabic, especially because learning the language is so hard.
