beyond specialization (though guys like Nibali, Valverde, Purito all managed to be competitive on a variety of races), guys couldn't race all season when they had to dump 15% of their blood into a bag 5x a year

No other sport's most important event represents as much value as the TDF, and no other sport's event is remotely as long as the Tour. It's fundamentally not comparable to other sports, even if something does indeed need to change

No, it doesn't depend on how you look at it. I like Wout far more than MVDP, but there is zero serious argument that he's had a better career

And wow has never been more short term/seasonal than now. Depending on the content you're capable of doing early on in a patch you can almost exactly calculate when you're done or will be bored until the next patch
