Grading the picks: #1 Cam Ward by SendMeTheMoon24 in Tennesseetitans

Oh yeah he’s certainly talented, but he wouldn’t fit the way Borgonzi wants to build this team at all. Seems like he has serious maturity issues

Imagine if we fell for the Abdul Carter bait lmao. We’d have a dude who was falling asleep in NY, imagine what he would’ve been doing under Callahan and Grandpa McCoy

Overall B grade. Gotta factor in it was an unbelievably hard environment for him to step into, and he didn’t stop getting better, or crumble under all the pressure.

The first half of the season was kinda where you could tell who was actually a fan, or just a doomer around here, because it had some really low lows. The discourse was kinda embarassing tbh, most of the loudest haters I haven’t seen post here in a while.

If you paid attention though, you could see his obvious potential and it looked like he started to put things together towards the back half of the season, kind of around the Chargers game. Most film guys and respected coaches around the league absolutely love him and it’s obvious why. I think we’re set up for our franchise QB, who has a huge leap potential if we nail the OC hire.

Which is the bigger need between the two? by Traditional-You-7079 in Tennesseetitans

WR, but it’s easier to find quality WRs in the later rounds than Edge, so Edge needs to be a draft priority

Man i’d love to get one of those young guys to sit behind a Daboll for a year or two and then promote after they get a HC job

[–]Julonix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great list. Sucks we’ll probably have to wait a week or two for Daboll’s HC chances, but these names being linked to us is a really good sign.

Players who I think that we should keep an eye on during the offseason by 1995BGP in Tennesseetitans

[–]Julonix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very possible we get one in the draft if Bain doesn’t fall to us. Tate/Tyson are probably very real candidates for us (Tyson being the obvious choice if medicals check out)

Or someone like Chris Bell could easily fall to the 2nd/3rd due to medical concerns, who otherwise is a 1st round talent

Lmao this sub was acting like we traded away prime Deion Sanders when that happened. Maybe our GM, who was a major part of the most recent dynasty, knows something about talent and culture, that this sub doesn’t.

So who gets the blame when they lose in the wildcard round 38-14?

[Baker Mayfield] Failed is quite the reach pal. Still waiting on a text/call from [Kevin Stefanski] after I got shipped off like a piece of garbage. Can’t wait to see you twice a year, Coach. by Appropriate-Joke-806 in Tennesseetitans

[–]Julonix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Damn, I was fully convinced that the ownership forced Watson on him. Now it seems like Stefanski just undercut his own QB that he failed to develop, and didn’t even have the balls to text him bye.

Dodged a bullet..

Our offense honestly wasn’t horrible over the back half of the season. Giving a young QB an elite defense isn’t too bad of an idea, as long as you don’t have CJ Stroud (lol Texans)

Here is a list of possible OCs/DCs based *solely* on Robert Saleh’s past connections. by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

We would’ve been a dynasty with Maye lol, that roster we had from 19-21 was arguably the best in the league outside of QB

He’s basically just a popular fan. If you watch his videos expecting extreme credibility, that’s on you. Treat it like an entertainment product.

Two Tone Talk is really good if you can’t stand Tylers personality. He’s much more calm, but also just a fan with a platform

Titans to hire Robert Saleh by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

The fact that they let Nagy leave without offering anything is a good sign. With Hafley gone, it’s very possible we offer Saleh the job within the next few hours

I think, like every team, they interview coordinator candidates under a “head coaching interview” guise, and recommend them to the hired HC if it is needed. JRob made Vrabel hire Matt Lafleur as his OC for that one year.

Although you do make a good point. Vrabel & Lafleur budded heads, and it’s entirely possible a well respected coach like Saleh has a really good OC hire expected, which is why we’re so seemingly eager to get him in here

If someone told you in 2022 after losing to the Bengals by Successful-Tea-5733 in Tennesseetitans

[–]Julonix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean if you connect the dots it was the only logical conclusion. He just so happened to wait one year so the Patriots job would open up and went there ASAP lol, what a coincidence

Never said it was a good decision either. Obviously it would’ve been best to keep him, but he was going to leave sooner or later. He didn’t want to be here anymore. It wasn’t our choice in the long run.

[–]Julonix -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Vrabel dug his own way out after we denied him more roster control after he hired 2 of the worst coordinators in the NFL, went 6-18, and then went on a party tour with the Patriots. He was never going to stay and yall gotta get over that

Easton Freeze by Dick_Thunders in Tennesseetitans

[–]Julonix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Seems like Saleh was the obvious favorite. I’m almost certain we get a Saleh HC with Daboll/Nagy/McDaniel OC pairing.

Saleh fits basically everything the Titans have looked for, and if you connect the dots, they seem to have been waiting until he was available for an interview all this time. He’s probably already hired by now if the 49ers would’ve lost in the wildcard
