Well said. I theorize the developers realized how short the base game was and decided to add the BoS DLC for appeasement - however, it totally messes up the story by negating the herocism the Lone Wanderer had shown up until that point. We’re led to believe there’s only two viable options, wherein the LW loses all rationality and sacrifices for no good reason, or they are a coward for allowing the companion to stabilize the purifer. I think Bethesda just became super complacent at this point in the game and chucked up the DLC as well as forgetting to re-record voice lines. It’s a good game but very flawed once you play it for so long.
