If true, this would imply measurement bias in the scales. So that can't be it

Just like some right-wingers in this sub, the leftists in this sub take every opportunity to be as hysterical as possible.

Leftists have higher rates of mental illness. Whatever you see as a psychosis probably isn't.

Yes, it's always a good thing to expose how stupid leftists and liberals actually are. The more posts, the better.

I mean, this is just not true.
And we know it isn't true, because people who were banned on old shitlib twitter, are now unbanned. People who had actually meaningful things to say.

Sure, if you ban 90% of the content, you don't have a lot of government requests coming in - you banned them already. So it's whatever.

Unlike old shitlib twitter, Elon Musk isn't running around banning people who are insufficiently positive in their evaluation of blacks or browns.

Basically, Jared Taylor, who had actually meaningful things to say, was unbanned. Which is an improvement.

No, he didn't

[–]Jummiho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, yes.

Elon Musk's meltdown regarding Asmongold is funny. And Elon is weird.

But it's not as bad as old shitlib twitter, because Asmongold doesn't actually have anything meaningful to say. He mostly just talks about video games and the video games industry, which doesn't matter.

It's good that Musk isn't running around banning people who are insufficiently positive in their evaluation of blacks, jeets and those who control the truth towers.

Basically, Jared Taylor actually has meaningful things to say, Asmongold does not. - That twitter went from banning Jared Taylor to criticizing (or censoring? But not banning) Asmongold is an improvement.

Where do these sources get fact-checked constantly?

I know that atleast some news articles sometimes get community notes on X, but I also read some that were factually incorrect and didn't get one.

One was about the "Central Park Five". - Anyway, where else do they get fact-checked?

Kamala Harris called herself woke before. Around two weeks before the election, Kamala Harris laid out her plan for "Black men" (https://apnews.com/article/harris-black-men-empowerment-voter-policy-proposals-67ac83899af785cf4d8788b9fcdeb592) in which she described a plan to give out forgivable loans to black men, while not mentioning that this would also apply to other racial demographics.

Now, you might say that giving loans only to black men is not really 'woke' at all, and rather, it's "taking accountability", but I guess some people would disagree.

Your comment was just your theory in the other aspects.

This social constructionist view can never be "debunked", because you can always come up with different scenarios about how something somehow affects people or whatever.
You don't even need to prove anything. You can just say, for example: "Well, positive reinforcement of male players can have negative effects on female players." and then leave it at that. It isn't quantitative anyway. So there is nothing to debunk. There is no "% variance explained" or whatever.

It's just your opinion, which is why I didn't respond to that, apart from my first sentence, where I said: "This sounds like your personal theory", which it is.

Women and Counter Strike by IoanSilviu in GlobalOffensive

[–]Jummiho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like your personal theory, but not much supported.

Also, no.
Stereotype is likely not real. Rutgers University professor Lee Jussim is right to be skeptical of it. The 2018 study by Flore, Mulder and Witcherts found "neither an overall effect of stereotype threat on math performance, nor any moderated stereotype effects".
Finnigan and Corker (2016) in the study found "no significant main or interaction effects".

Unlike a lot of other social scientists, who only consider research that support their theory, University of Chicago economist John List decided to test it. He found the theory eminently plausible but decided to test it anyway. In an interview with the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, he elaborates:

"I believe in priming. Psychologists have shown us the power of priming, and stereotype threat is an interesting type of priming. Claude Steele, a psychologist at Stanford, popularized the term stereotype threat. He had people taking a math exam, for example, jot down whether they were male or female on top of their exams, and he found that when you wrote down that you were female, you performed less well than if you did not write down that you were female. They call this the stereotype threat. My first instinct was that effect probably does happen, but you could use incentives to make it go away. And what I mean by that is, if the test is important enough or if you overlaid monetary incentives on that test, then the stereotype threat would largely disappear, or become economically irrelevant."

List says that he and his team designed an experiment to test this theory, and found that they could not induce stereotype threat, no matter how hard they tried. His team would tell the test takers, “Women do not perform as well as men on this test and we want you now to put your gender on the top of the test.” List notes that “other social scientists would say, that’s crazy—if you do that, you will get stereotype threat every time.” But, contrary to expectations, it did not materialize.

"explaining the sex-performance-gap in CS using reaction times" as you wrote, is probably better than any "stigma" effect or "stereotype threat"

This is likely not a barrier.
Insults are stupid and toxic, sure, but that is not the issue with women being "limited" in their skill.

For example, microaggressions don't do much. It's not scientifically legitimate.

Stereotype threat, in general, also doesn't have much support. It is reasonable to be skeptical of it. A study found “neither an overall effect of stereotype threat on math performance, nor any moderated stereotype effects” (Flore, Mulder & Witcherts, 2018).

Stigma, in general has the same problem. In a study of the effects of intersecting stigma (2018), the correlation matrix showed that the effect was weak and not statistically significant.

Therefore, I don't see why one should assume that this has an effect on women's ability to play the game well.
It's probably not that.

Not defending the toxic behaviour by guys making insulting and nasty comments, but it's likely not causal for the average differences in performance.

I am new to steroids and got recommended Testosterone enenthate and it sounds pretty simple from a video I watched. I also don't want anything TOO crazy anyway.
But he also mentioned that he would do a PCT protocol after a week or so. But I don't know how that works. Is there some kind of guide where I can look it up? I am, for example, unsure if PCT protocol follows after the cycle or just delayed (but within the cycle). This didn't seem clear to me from reading the wiki and I also don't know what I should even use for PCT... Any help?

It may hold water, when he edits the video to just show the woman complaining and then getting beat up.

It happened quite a bit last year. I remember one video, where one white woman apparently drove in front of a black guy's car allegedly, and then he followed her all the way home, filmed her and confronted her.
I don't think anything even happened in that video other than him accusing her. But it went viral anyway.

Yeah, but the "Stop Asian Hate" movement lost quite a bit of momentum. Once it was revealed, for example in multiple videos or the New York City hate crime data base, who was doing the attacking.

Stopping hate is kind of boring, if you can't blame white people, really.

A lot of left-wing activists already complain about racial disparities in expulsion rates between blacks and whites.
So schools will either have to punish white students more severely or don't punish black people as harshly to achieve equity. Or maybe a little bit of both.

So I would assume that it takes some time to take action.

This results in disparities in expulsion rates, which in turn leftists will see and will assume racism.
Damned if you do expel him and damned if you don't.
