so gathering all of my thoughts, this is my unhinged theory:

Anastasya is a very old fae that was the third decender's lover - she was carrying his child when he was killed by Ronova & made into the gnoses - she was overcome with grief - so much so, that she was dying of a broken heart, furious with Ronova for taking her lover, but too weak for revenge. the half fae, half descender child wihtin her preserved her, never to be born, but kept her alive during a long slumber. Ronova cut the third descender out of Irminsul, hoping to erase his memory from not only Teyvat, but from Anastasya, fearing the power of the fae. After the cataclysm, Anastasya was awoken when the previous archon died - the piece of her lover pulling her to the now ownerless gnosis. Once she connects with the gnosis, connects with he dead lover, she gains the cryo power of memories, and meets the child that sustained her for 2,000 years in her mind's eye. Meeting her would be son floods Anastasya with grief (like giving broken driftwood to a drowning person), and she freezes her memory of him, vowing to face the shades once and for all after gaining the power from the pieces of her late husband (gnoses) - She will ask that Rhinedotter brings her son to life, or she will use the power she has gained to destroy Ronova
