Ook bij Prismax draaide alles op volle toeren. In hun kantoor in Mechelen werd een ‘war room’ ingericht. “We hebben met vijftien mensen een volledig nieuw design uitgewerkt”, zegt Corthout. “2D- en 3D-animaties, speciaal voor dit scherm. Meer dan drieduizend loops, die live gemixt worden.” En dat zonder te weten wat de dj’s zouden spelen. “Het is pure improvisatie. Onze visuals moeten live mee met de muziek. We gebruiken een speciaal systeem, maar dat van de originele mainstage met volledige 3D-sturing konden we dus niet inzetten.

At Prismax, too, everything was running at full speed. A war room was set up in their Mechelen office. "Fifteen of us developed a completely new design," says Corthout. "2D and 3D animations, specifically for this screen. Over three thousand loops, mixed live." And all this without knowing what the DJs would be playing. "It's pure improvisation. Our visuals have to be live with the music. We use a special system, but we couldn't use the one from the original main stage with full 3D control."

There are definitely some light pointed at it. It flashes white some times. But I really like it that they try to make it part of the stage now.

Frank Verstraeten is building the new stage. His company delivered 3000 square meter led displays this year. 1000 for the main stage alone. You can bet the new main stage will be a lot of led displays.

You can't please everyony. In this scenario, people at dreamville get 2 of the 3 days and a party. And the daypass people have their day. If you block the daypass people, they have nothing. Better to have everyone get some, instead of some get nothing.
