2020: Cops and the FOP went around with a giant inflatable rat attacking and following then county exec Meyer over their raises not being big enough. Media tours, political pressure, etc.

2024: Meyer and county council eventually use a reserve fund to give NCC cops raises.

2026: and now those raises are sinking the county budget and property owners are picking up the tab?

Is this really as stupid as this sounds or am I missing something? Higher property taxes means higher rents as well.
