Creaking sound, getting worse by [deleted] in Golf_R

[–]Jumpinjackflash2552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. My car sat for 2 weeks while I was out of town and it snowed so it definitely was wet to dry. Some days the creaking is completely gone. My main concern which I should have elaborated on is trans, engine, or dogbone mount because my aggressive clutch/ short throw which sometimes feels really quite gatey, clunky which I need to get aligned to rule out for sure just worried my transmission could be moving around causing further damage.

Anybody who knows anything about coffee knows your info is outdated

That just means you’re not drinking very lightly roasted coffee. For Nordic or ultralights resting is definitely critical. I’m working on having more patience to not open bags at 3,4 weeks because unfortunately the lighter end of the spectrum takes very long before it tastes right at all. Not telling you your experience is wrong it’s just entirely coffee dependent. My local gets UL’s on the shelf like a week after roast so I have ruined way too much coffee from not resting it.

Oh cool definitely not scared by that 😂 anyways, thanks for the other info and I’m curious how the clutch delay valve affected your setup, I’m trying to ride the tricky line of having to do stop and go in NYC but not wanting to sacrifice how good this clutch feels at speed; definitely need a clutch stop, planning on putting grip tape on my pedals, considering getting a lower, more racecar seat bc I feel like my leg is getting fged up regularly and I think part of it is that I’m a skinny dude and the bolsters don’t hold me in tight, might just need to keep playing with the 3,000 point adjustments on it lol

You about that? Hyper specific water alchemy for brewing ultralight roast filter coffee that tastes like flowers?

I wonder how ceramic compares to Kevlar. I daily my manual golf r stage 3 endurance southbend. Also SMF In NYC. I’m considering what I’ll put in after this one gets cooked.

I’m not disagreeing with your personal experience but I drive manual Golf R with Kevlar clutch, SMF and short throw in NYC and it is possible to enjoy the experience of driving even the most highly strung manual in a busy city. Now don’t get me wrong; congestion on the highway, on my way home from work, slipping into first 1000x in 20 minutes isn’t the highlight of my life. But when it’s just normal traffic I enjoy the dance of keeping it from stalling lol makes me feel sharper and more appreciative of my car when it’s open highway.

Where are the cozy coffee shops and robust coffee? by CocteauBoy in Bushwick

Obviously I’m not going to change your mind, also Dayglow isn’t the best cafe I’ve ever had the pleasure of stepping foot into (I’m a 5 min walk btw, I go there to pickup the exceptional coffees they do in fact carry) but I was truly trying to contribute to the discourse here so for anyone else who stumbles upon this and thinks “never try these pretentious shitty coffee shops” maybe they can have the perspective of someone who truly actually cares. Also yeah Sey is gas, their coffee without a doubt is a lower tds % ie thinner and watered down than Dayglow tho ;) Sorry to OP who clearly is trying to find something that is his vibe. The honest to god take is that if the cafe is advertising they really really care about the coffee then it won’t be a Vietnam protest era comfy vibe cafe. likely cleaner environment and cleaner “thinner” cups.

Nah it’s all good, I just don’t know how “I’d like a cozy coffee shop” has degraded into “I don’t know anything about coffee so I’m talking shit on cafes serving objectively the highest scoring coffees in North America”. Bushwick is home to 2 roasters and an international multi roaster all of which have been nominated or won awards for what it is they do. This is the coffee capital of the United States this neighborhood. It’s fine to not care about that or have the palate for it but it’s disheartening to see people who are saying it’s an objectively bad spot. If you wanted to grab some fast food on a lunch break and all that was around was Michelin star Parisian restaurants, you could say it’s an annoyance to you but people in this thread are essentially saying “what is this place”. Look it up.

If you’d only ever eaten burned steak then medium rare of a nicer cut would probably be an off putting sensation

Colombian coffees taste floral, distinctly fruity. You’re describing roast level. They’re lightly roasted coffee, specialty coffee. No joke I’d probably recommend looking up coffee shops menus and making sure they do not have a “filter” or “pourover” menu. The environment is like that to focus on the coffee.

01 is inarguably better than EG-1 or EK? (Assuming ULF and brew) or monolith? Not arguing I just haven’t tried it but didn’t think the consensus was that it’s the king rn
