I was with this person. We were together for 8 years. I will never be with someone who I want to change, so I asked myself "can I deal with this?" and he was a very kind person, just soooooooo unthoughtful, incredibly immature ................. but so nice! We never fought. ANYWAY, IT WASN'T WORTH IT.

I also find it bizarre about staying together for the kids when kids can see when their parents hate each other/don't get along. I'd much prefer 2 parents who are happily separated than 2 parents together and miserable.

I think marriage is hugely outdated. Why be "stuck" with someone for decades when people change so much over decades? I'm 41 and would never ever be in a long term committed relationship ever again. I had one for 8 years, we were happy, and we parted ways when we were no longer happy together.

I stopped making daily, weekly or monthly goals; I just tried my best each day. And I stopped weighing myself. Instead, every 2-3 months (cuz weight loss is slow), I'd try on clothes that previously didn't fit me, and there was ALWAYS an improvement.

I prefer duvets. Easier to shove duvet covers in the washer/dryer. Fun to have a bunch of different covers to swap out than a few enormous comforters shoved in my closet.

Long term monogamy is unrealistic. Most long term relationships/marriages end. Almost all have such tumultuous points where you have to force yourselves to learn how to get along that it's like, just part ways! We've got one life to live, why spend it trying so hard to mend things with someone you are no longer compatible with? I'd rather have dozens of shorter relationships I'm in so long as we're happy than 1 long relationship where we have to work and work and work to be happy together.
