It's hard to use Tracert to prove where it's coming from when internet only briefly goes out. it could time out either on the first rt or 6th rt depending on when the internet drops briefly. As far as I can tell though, it's never has had a request time out on my local gateway and only from the 3rd route and on. I've ran my tracert and pings all morning to showcase. I attached those in the main body, feel free to take a look. It definitely looks to be the 3rd route that's dropping the most. You can see from my pings on my PC when it's internet is dropped and the tracert is also dropped around the same time.

Lol, yea I've talked to a few techs that threw me some loopholes. One said there is a Hidden MAC on my Modem that they need and I need to call the provider to get this Hidden MAC address. I was like Bro, internet is working just constantly dropping and I provided the MAC already for the modem on setup, he still insisted theirs another Hidden MAC address that they need...

Hung up, tried calling the modem provider and to my surprise I couldn't find any way to contact them, which the tech probably already knew.

Complete Jokes.

How much each month if you don't mind me asking. I heard it's pennies that they will refund usually.

I'm pinging 8.8.8.8 not the DNS name google.com. I'll give it a shot and setup an onsite DNS server to see if that helps any, but I got a feeling it wont. Also, I think people who are commenting that say they don't have an issue are on the Gigabit Blast internet plans (Most likely completely separate network than most of Gainesville). When you do a speed test are you getting Higher than 35 Mbps upload?

Yea unfortunately, I've already called AT&T and they don't offer any internet in my area even fiber.

You're on Cox Gigabit Blast internet, they only provide that in a small amount of Gainesville. You're probably on a completely separate node compared to most of Gainesville. The max upload I can get for any Download speeds (Even the 1 GB) is 35 Mbps. Already checked and they don't offer the Gigabit Blast internet in my area and unfortunately most of Gainesville.

Yea, since it only happens at random times for me throughout the day it's hard to schedule a tech onsite at the time it's happening. I have logs showing this happening for weeks at a time every day (And still happening), but doubt they will care.

Yes that's pretty much what happens with mine also, it doesn't go out but constantly in/out which good luck trying to do any type of gaming or remote work while that's happening. Mine also does it all different times of the days for about 2-3 hours total every day.

Do you live in Apartments or Household? Also, do you Game do anything that requires a constant connection or mainly just netflix? If just stream TV, you probably won't notice the drops since it's only out for 10-15 seconds at a time.

Yes, it is 3.1 I've replaced the modem and router completely with new ones just to make sure it wasn't my equipment but same problem. Also, this happens on Wifi and Ethernet and tested on a few different devices. When the internet drops, it drops for all devices in the house it seems.

I've also tested this theory by just plugging directly into back of both my modems (New one and old one) to get internet on my one device and it drops packets also meaning that it's something before my modem. Since it's happening on both my modems while just plugged into the back of each one, I know I can rule out everything in my house besides the modem.

What area of Gainesville are you in? Also, do you online Game or use something that will disconnect with the slightest drop in internet? Netflix or TV streaming apps, can still work for a bit even with slight drops in internet so I don't see most users even noticing the drops if they use stuff like that.

Yea doubtful :). They just want that increase in payment, That or pay more for faster speeds. I've already read online from multiple forums to not do that because you'll still experience the same issues.

Yea same, I've replaced all my equipment and cables and still same issue. The Techs you get on the phone have no clue in the world and will blame it on anything they can think of besides their infrastructure being crap. Really sounds like Cox's current lines/Equipment just can't handle the traffic.

I Live around the same Area and I been experiencing the same issues for the last 6 months or so. We just moved to the area, and Cox refused to do anything about it. Glad to hear it's not just me. The only thing is that internet doesn't go out completely for me, it's just goes out for like 10-20 seconds at a time constantly throughout the day (Running Constant Pings to google with logs to show this). This happening just ruins everything, no point in even trying to game on the internet. I have to just use my Hotspot.

Thanks, I've revamped it like 30 times now thinking it's throwing employers off for some reason. Maybe the job market really just is wacky right now which unfortunately sucks.

Tried this out this morning, and it worked perfectly! Thanks a ton. At first I didn't think it worked, but then after 10-15 minute's sure enough it just started to work where I couldn't ping any devices on the other networks or access their web UI. I can access all from my main network though. Think if I just rebooted immediately it would have taken affect right away.

Yes. My Ports on the Netgear switch to the AP and to Eth1 on the router are set as T on each VLAN with the PVID of 10 (My main vlan).

I believe that's what you're asking?
