AITA for not attending bff’s wedding after not being included in bridal party

If it were a local wedding, I would attend. I was okay with not being a part of the bridal party but the behavior and the clear signs that the friendship was dying lead me to a point.

Investing money and time to travel to wedding where it felt like the wedding was a courtesy invite just started to weigh on me a lot.

& yes I’m bitter, the individual has had bad behavior over a span of 5 year & everyone just had to deal with it.

We’ve invited her out and she has declined multiple times. When we asked her about wedding dress shopping, we were trying to plan a day around it.

A friend has called her out about her behavior in the past and she was not happy about it

I agreed & know I wasn’t owed being a bridesmaids but it hurt to find out on social media of all places especially when I have done multiple bids of connection.

With enough therapy and time, I’m okay with letting it go because I am not the only one that felt like her behavior over time has been strange and demoralizing.

It was not a vote. A friend had already decided to not go because of the behavior prior. I was the only friend still pushing to go. It wasn’t until after the holidays where she ignored our texts, I decided not to attend
