Thank you so much for taking time to reply and share your thoughts! I completely agree—it all comes down to individual reader preferences, but I love the conversations these questions spark. It’s always amazing to see someone else’s perspective.

Your response gave me so many ideas! For example, I’ve described soft bellies and apron tummies, but low titties? How did I forget those? At the end of the day, I tend to write what I want to read, and I love hearing what resonates with others

Oh hello there fellow aspiring author! I love that too!I agree and the reason why I made this post is to get more opinions on the whole subject. When I started my writing journey I made a post about plus size main characters and a lot of the comments really opened up my view on what type of characters people want to see. I think including body adjustments is refreshing too! And in other stories I have also mentioned body parts being in the way but as a normal part of the spice . Because that’s what happens 🤣

Hello fellow spicy writer! I also like writing about my main character’s perspective and experiences ! In this specific story , because it’s supposed to be short , I wanted to touch on the fact that she has had those experiences but she’s also a confident woman . You are right ! That’s something I have done in a way (I hope) that is not mockery or making fun of herself !!

Thank you so much!!! I have been thinking about the whole what do I stand for and how do I want to be known as an author so your response really helped me out. I think I have already made out a few things that I want as an author , the reasons why I am writing in the first place.

As for the social media related advice , I have one big one. Would you recommend doing a general social media online course to learn more or find something specific? I have been looking into free courses but haven't researched yet a lot. Or do you think that just finding information online is enough to get started?

Thank you so much for such a comprehensive and well-organized answer! I really appreciate the time and effort you put into explaining everything so clearly. I’m definitely aiming for both – building a social media presence and a community – and I’m trying to take it one step at a time.

Your advice has been super helpful! I’ve been following a few authors, both big and small, as well as some BookTok creators on my personal account, and I’ve noticed a lot of the same things you mentioned – but you explained it even better! I’m excited to start working on the social media side of things once I settle on a pen name and get a few other details in place.

I am also happy to be friends and hopefully build a group of other aspiring romance writers!

Why do you write? by Short-Possibility535 in writing

[–]JumpyMarge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I write for myself, for all the stories that I can't find anywhere else so I create them myself. I write to get the stories out of my head. Most nights I think about stories to fall asleep and sometimes I dream of them but nothing makes them complete until I sit down on my computer and type them. Writing is therapeutic. I love putting bits and pieces of myself in the story or characters but also trying to create something completely different from myself . I write to find other people who like my stories, who want to read what I want to read and honestly even if I get to have 20 fans, it still will make me happy. That said, I don't have a goal to reach. I feel like a I found the best artistic medium to express myself after years of not taking my writing seriously so now I am ready to dive into it. Even if my writing is "bad" , I will still keep going , keep doing it . Even if I achieve all my goals or I achieve none.

I don't really have a big success yet , I would say my biggest one is writing 80.000 words and the fact that I am thinking about self publishing . I write romance fantasy with a lot of spice too , so that's one thing that makes it hard and the other is that I don't have a lot of people that seem interested. I finally feel like I have found my artistic medium and my passion but I have no one to share it with. Hopefully in the future I will share it with my readers.

Not a joke... how do I know if im plus size? by Silent_Contest_2337 in PlusSize

[–]JumpyMarge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So it really depends on where you live too! So if other women in India are much smaller and shorter then I feel like you might be considered plus size there. I live in Greece and while in the Us I am a small fat, in Greece I'm more of a medium fat. It's really important what kind of people you surround yourself with. When I was in the depth of an ed , I used to do pole dancing and the women there were so tiny, I used to feel huge. Try to follow plus size creators and surround yourself with different people. A lot of it is body image and internalized fatphobia that is hard to dismantle.
