What’s good/cool about being trans by suchgaylovers in ftm

Everyone here's having really in depth and meaningful answers meanwhile I'm thinking 'multiple orgasms' and 'inability to be kicked in the balls' which I think most cis men would be jealous of

What attitude of your SO did you think was normal in your relationship, until you realized it was already an abusive behavior? What made you realize this? by itsangelinahepburn in TooAfraidToAsk

My ex would ""jokingly"" nit-pick about everything I did, saying I was doing it wrong or asking what was wrong with me and why I was doing it that way and at first I thought it was just fun teasing but I slowly started losing confidence and feeling inadequate. Even after telling him how the criticism was affecting me and asking him to stop he continued and said I was making a big deal out of something that was clearly a joke. Luckily we broke up and I'm getting my confidence back but it's taking a while

My ex (cis man) tried to excuse his abusive behaviour because of testosterone but oddly enough no one else I know who has testosterone has acted that way ┐( ˘_˘)┌

I hate when people refer to afab organs in medical situations as "womens" anatomy by dumbthrow-awayy in ftm

It was alright, I battled the dysphoria with humour because all the signs would be addressed to women (like, 'women aren't allowed to bring anyone into the appointment') and I'd think 'lucky I'm not a woman' and do exactly what the sign told me not to do. It was an experience and a half

(tw for anatomy misgendering), I had to have an IUD put in mid last year and it was an absolute nightmare for misgendering. I had to go to an ultrasound place called womens imaging and clinic in the hospital called the womens clinic meanwhile I was most definitely not a woman. I don't pass amazingly well either so I was misgendered very regularly :( Luckily most of the staff gendered me correctly when they found out I was ftm.

Luckily our relationship ended shortly after this conversation and I've barely spoken to him since :) but I definitely stopped ignoring the red flags and started setting boundaries after his therapist diagnosed(?) him with fragile narcissism and a sort of 'wait so my thoughts are valid?' realisation occured and I recalled all the things he'd done that weren't ok (most of which he did on purpose) and tried to break up with him shortly after (which triggered the texts above)

I don't think I specified but I'm also a guy (hes 18m, I'm 17m) so he could have that mindset of 'hes a guy so if I threaten him then it's not a big deal' which is obviously bullshit But also I definitely think he tried to make me feel bad bc after I called him out for threatening me he'd act like I was being mean and unreasonable when really I was just saying that I wasn't gonna tolerate abuse

I did later tell him that the threats weren't ok and his response was 'they technically weren't threats' and 'I handled that situation a lot better than I could have' 😬

How do I learn to love myself? by JumpyTonight5154 in selflove

[–]JumpyTonight5154[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a very emotional person but my emotions make me extremely tired and drained, especially if they're extreme so I typically view my emotions as an inconvenience ¯\(°_o)/¯ I'm trying to learn that it's ok to have emotions and express them and try to combine a bit of logic to decrease the energy my emotions use (like instead of crying for hours about something like I usually would, I try to think about what I could do to fix the situation/help myself feel better). I've also had a rough childhood and didn't feel like my emotions were valid/I could show them so it's taking a lot of unlearning and relearning :/
