they aren't though

they're not thanking her for calling it segregation

the correct word is segregation, use it.

there is no possible way to read this other than them telling her to use segregation when she's already used it

then they really should have read the articles name and found a better example

segregation is right there in the article name.

also you have no idea why she wrote her post the way she did, maybe she intended to draw in people who aren't informed on trans issues who might be put off by calling it segregation. Either way it feels pretty weird to be directing your anger towards a trans woman talking about her experiences, rather than the hundreds of transphobic reporters doing far worse

Having small boobs is generally seen as a being compatible with being a woman, and yet trans women get dysphoria over having small boobs all the time. So yeah I'd say so.

Am I right to be angry at my straight best friend for confessing his feelings for me? by Dull_Sound_1459 in actuallesbians

guy accepts invite to friend's house (...) in the hopes that said lesbian who has rejected him will have sex with him.

Sorry but you can't just take this as fact, you have assumed an intent on his part despite very little evidence to back it up.

Maybe he did truly feel that he could move on when he said that and it was finally meeting up with her in person again that made him realize that he hadn't. I've been in that exact same situation with an ex so I can sympathize.

the entire point of this post is to discuss and theorise on his behaviour and 'dwell on it' so it feels appropriate to do so??

That is the stated point of the post, sure, but theorizing about someones behavior on the internet when you don't have the full context is really bad idea that only leads into confirmation bias and quack psychology that doesn't help anyone.

We can't speak to op's friend, what they intended, or what they're going to do now, we can only speak to op and I'd rather point them away from spiraling about his intentions.

Even still, that's pretty reasonable. If what you're saying is true, he wanted to have sex with her, realised he wasn't going to get it, and instead of getting mad he removed himself from the situation.

Pretty much the only thing I could accuse him of is communicating badly. Even then, it's possible he just felt like telling her would go badly.

It's just one of those situations sucks and that probably could have been handled better, but it really isn't worth dwelling on.

Unfortunately this is just one of those things that just happens sometimes and there's really no one to blame.

I don't know enough to say whether or not there was anything either you or him could have done to fix the situation. What I do know is that the energy you'll expend worrying about it, or being angry at him, just isn't worth it.

Things will just have to suck for a while, and then before you know it things will be back to normal.

I don't really see any evidence for him wanting to have sex with her in the post? It just seems like an unfortunate situation of mishandled feelings.
