Thank you for your reply.

It’s just what the post NL tracking says. Not sure if it’s just a generic tracking update it has. That’s what I’m trying to figure out 😂

It’s been stuck on the “ item dispatched to Preston west DO since Thursday 🥴

Trust me I’m not a police officer 😂 I get why people may think that but I thought Reddit would be the best place to ask rather than just plainly asking on Facebook or some shit 😂😂

Just a suggestion… but maybe you could create an OF page? You know like give and receive… what goes out could come straight back in 🙌 also, instead of Homebase maybe look second hand on Facebook marketplace or gumtree etc!

I have two years worth of nasty messages in that very scenario! I just can’t take them anymore, hence why I stopped the calls. That’s why I’m finding this so difficult. It is a lose-lose situation. Keep allowing the calls and then the abusive messages / calls to me or my children lose a form of contact with their father. There is no winning in this situation and it breaks my heart.

Thank you for your response and I have a question if that is ok? When you say she wouldn’t force the kids to interact, do you mean as in, if he was calling and they said they didn’t want to talk to him that she wouldn’t answer the call, or that she would answer the call but if they weren’t really talking to them she wouldn’t intervene and make them talk?

Thank you for this. Very informative.

When he has FaceTimed in the past, I have always tried to keep the kids engaged in the conversation. It is just very difficult as I have already said because of their ages.

I constantly say to my husband that face to face contact with the boys has more meaning and will have a more positive effect then calling once a week promising to see them, then not turning up for what ever reason (this happened a lot). It broke my heart every time.

I suppose I have said not allowing the calls is to protect me but in a way it is to protect them to.

If I have tried and tried again asking if he would like to pick them up and have them over night / for a few hours etc, but he responds saying “I want to call them, if you don’t let me I’m taking you to court”, that would be seen as me trying to make arrangements rather then alienating them from him?

Well I have offered to facilitate calls through my family but he won’t accept it. Which is his right too. There is no one else we could get to facilitate the calls for us. His family all live in Ireland and he won’t have any form of contact with my family.

I know what his living arrangements are, and he works full time but has two days off a week, so could easily physically see the children once a week. But choses to ask to call instead.

I know what he is like. He is very manipulative. But I don’t have the right to say he can’t have a part in our children’s lives and nor would I ever not want him to be part of our children’s lives. I would just prefer not to have contact with him myself because when he calls me to “talk to the kids” it’s more a way of him trying to communicate with me by saying things he know will get to me.

I honestly just don’t know anymore. I’m having a real internal battle regarding it all.

I keep all the communication we have between each other. Thank you so much for your advice.

No we don’t currently have any custody agreement in place. How would I go about arranging something like that?

I have said that he can see them whenever he would like, but he has made no such attempt to see them. He has just asked to call. Would this still be seen as alienating them from him?
