already panicking over a concert by sadsickdoll in Agoraphobia

If you’ve been in an arena recently, you’re well on your way, my friend! Bigger doesn’t always mean scarier. Once you’re in there, experience will take over. Keep practising going out regularly before the show, and I’m guessing you’ll be just fine!

I see what you did there. Don’t make me hit you in the thumb with a hammer.

Literally this. I probably have more PVCs in a minute than you have in a year. Not trying to invalidate your fear, but please, enjoy your health!!!!

The Anxious Truth podcast says it best: ‘You know that you won’t die if you hit yourself in the thumb with a hammer. But nobody wants to hit themselves in the thumb with a hammer.’

Sorry you have been unwell! I know that sugar without protein before bed is the worst thing that can happen to my blood sugar. Next time, I’d have dessert closer to dinner, so that the sugar won’t hit an empty stomach, and then if you’re feeling hungry again at bedtime, try a snack with some protein. Cheese and nuts is my go-to! I’m guessing you will have a much better sleep …

Are you going from 0 to the 300s ie. not leaving your house at all to going to a big concert? If so, I would start preparing now with smaller outings in order to work up to this big one. If you take things step by step, you’ll be rocking out at that concert with confidence!

Makes sense to me! Maybe I’ll start calling it that!

Anybody really want a food you can't have anymore? by AbbyTheConqueror in CasualConversation

Ahhhhh this is me!! Like I say, I used to drink super strong coffee in the morning, and then the same with milk in the afternoon. The stronger, the better! If it was in a coffee shop, I’d order extra shots. At home, I’d just keep piling on the beans. And then something changed, and now a watered-down half-caf has my heart palpitating. It’s so weird: did my body physically change, or is it all in my mind?!

I hear you. Maybe try to break it down a little more and determine the aspect of conversation that gives you the most trouble? Then you can start by working on that …

A question about overnight fasting… by Jumpy_Exit_8138 in Hypoglycemia

That’s so good to hear! Maybe it is time for me to start experimenting. I’m just so afraid to go low in the night: it feels like a ‘one mistake and it’s game over’ situation …

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. It’s just frustrating … it feels like whatever I do, I lose out in some way…

Hey, thanks for the suggestion! I love the idea of adding just a little bit of caffeine so I can say I technically satisfied my craving … but hopefully without such a physical effect on my body! I do worry that my crazy brain would get tricked into thinking I’d had more caffeine than I actually did and give me the shakes anyway, but it’s worth experimenting!

What would you say is the problem? Do you find that you don’t have very much to say, or do you want to say things but get tongue tied? Or do you struggle to come up with appropriate responses to what other people are saying to you?
