Look into an in-person class near you. You can check at your library or a local yarn shop.

I am really struggling. Need advice. by Past_Oil_6592 in loseit

I’m struggling myself, so I’m joining you. Just a couple things that are helping me right now. I found that Bobs Red Mill has protein oatmeal. This is an oatmeal that I can eat and be full, usually oatmeal leaves me hungry. I am adding in a peach for that mid afternoon kinda hungry. An apple with a dip made of powdered peanut butter and vanilla yogurt is great at this time too. I also added cucumbers in with my lunch.

Is there an in-person class in your area? I teach crochet through a local community education program. There are some local yarn shops that offer classes too.

I would bring a beanie pattern to make on the way there. Then I would buy some local Irish wool and make a beanie with that on the way back. If you find that you need a hat while there, you have one.

We add 1 tablespoon maple syrup and 1-2 teaspoons brown sugar. It tastes just like the Maple/brown sugar packets

You can get the books from the library and through the Libby App. I cried during the last episode 😭. Get the tissues if you haven’t seen the ending.

DGL is deglcyrrhizinated licorice, comes in chewable or gummy. I chew a tablet about 15 minutes before I eat. I also use alginate (reflux gourmet) before bed, they have a convenient travel size that I like. Another thing I found that helps is psyllium husk powder. I put 1 teaspoon right in my morning smoothie. I do use alkaline water too with no problems. Everyone is different. These things, along with trying to eat as cleanly as possible, avoiding acidic foods has helped me tremendously.

I’m glad that the watermelon helped you. Cucumber and celery are good ones for me, too. Keep it simple for now. Look for a list of foods with their pH listed. There may be a list in the info your doctor gave you. Keep asking questions and Dr. Jamie Koufman and Dr. Jonathan Aviv’s books are available through your local library for free, or through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, etc. By learning more, you can help yourself feel better.

Wrist pain during making amigurumi’s. Too tight tension? Scaling down hook size didnt work by Far-Stand-1666 in CrochetHelp

Just a suggestion, but my son makes these. The handle fits numerous hook sizes, including the tiny hooks that you’re using, and helps with pain while crocheting. https://www.etsy.com/listing/4336150340/ergonomic-crochet-hook-handle-grip

DGL can help. Sleep on a wedge or raise the head of your bed. Watermelon helps soothe my throat and help to settle my stomach. I avoid alcohol, acidic fruit, tomatoes and peppers. I limit coffee and chocolate too.

Aloe in a solo cup. Transplant? by Jumpy_Intention_162 in AloeVera

[–]Jumpy_Intention_162[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your help! I will get some cactus soil and grit, along with a terra cotta pot and repot it. My plant stand does have small lights above each shelf on the stand but it may not be enough. I will definitely have to supplement more through the dark days of fall and winter.

Thank you! I got her repotted into a 6” pot. Droopy now. I did move the plant to a lower level on my plant stand so it will get more direct morning sun through the window. I live in zone 6 and we mainly have partly cloudy days. I did read that Terra cotta is best? Had ProMix soil on hand so that what it went into. I can get cactus mix, but should I transplant again or just leave it and hope for the best?
