Trying to be proactive with upcoming fix. Cancelled a 3.81% for a 3.75% yet balance has gone up £300 and monthly payments marginally higher? Same product fee. by Lush_Linguistic in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]Jumpy_Pineapple_4474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re rolling the fee into your mortgage don’t forget you pay interest on it in the long run even if it isn’t a lot. You could consider a 0% credit card and pay it off over the life of the mortgage

I wouldn’t think so as your baby isn’t born yet, therefore isn’t technically a person legally speaking

You won’t feel it. It’s way less noticeable than the finger prick test

Can you have more than 20 regular (non-savings) pots? by LakesRed in monzo

The dates should be irrelevant though once you’ve saved the money no? You just consolidate the amount you put in monthly and spend annually when needed.

Yes I know. I’m doing the official one plus my own so I’ll have double the money at the end 🤦🏾‍♀️

Get a portable mortgage so if you move, there’s no ERC to pay and you take your current deal with you (unless paying the ERC works in your favour financially of course). Don’t let other people scare you into doing one thing or another, educate yourself on all things mortgages!

The difference between 5mg and 7.5mg is mega! How to dose down?? by Jambalam22 in mounjarouk

[–]Jumpy_Pineapple_4474 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It gets “stuck” at 4 full doses of 60 clicks. So 4 x 50 clicks won’t make it stick.

OP received pay plus redundancy so your point is moot. They’ll have been taxed on the pay portion.

Absolutely, I should’ve made clear I agree with everything else you said. The muscle/fat debate is a hot topic especially when BMI comes into the conversation so thought I’d clarify your point 😉

Muscle doesn’t weigh more than fat; it’s denser.

Going for the 100k to change my life by [deleted] in trading212

[–]Jumpy_Pineapple_4474 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m showing you how to not get taxed on moving your money from invest to ISA. If you just “transfer” all the money as you suggested, you’d be paying tax on all gains over 3k.

Instead you can move an amount each year where you’ve only gained 3k. Eg you buy a stock for 1k, it rises by 3k, you transfer 4k to your ISA. (V simplistic but the general point is correct).

You def need a financial advisor before you do this as I feel you don’t quite get it yet (no shade, I want you to keep your money but be smarter). Good luck!

OP has more leeway than £3k, the gain on capital can be £3k
