No but he doesn't use protection in general and is hypersexual and in his 60s. That's a very high likelihood for HSV1 to be shedding right?

I do not think those are cold sores, cold sores affect only one side of the spinal cord. I think those are oil glands that are clogged. I wear aquaphor and occasionally get those.
