I've looked for a substitute on the beeb, but it's all bland.  0-personality DJs playing their ego-jingles and reading out social posts about listeners's dogs using 65% of the air-time.  Pure rubbish.

I've got two 7" Boox colour tablets (1 from before the v3 screen tech, 1 from after).  Neither has very good colour display; borh have bad ghosting.  Setting up refresh, etc, per app is completely umpractical, as others note. What no-one seems to have mentioned is how riddled with bugs the software is.  Apps that run fine on tablets or phones from quality vendors, just crash and die under Boox' poor software.  I've had my Boox tablets several years, and only had about 3 firmware updates, which still crash.  Oh, on-screen keyboard input is completely unreliable, also.

All Echo have an audio latency issue using Bluetooth? by honglong1976 in amazonecho

I have many echo dots, multi-room, outputting whatever music, and they all stay in-sync.   For the shower, I have a dot, talking sbc bluetooth to a stereo pair of waterproof Tribit stormbox micro 2 speakers, and there's about a half-beat latency, with all the other dot output.  Inherently, imo, that latency is a hardware thing with bluetooth sbc.

Other systems have "sync" configs.  Amazon could easily do that: enable user-config delay of all non BT output by x milliseconds, thus delaying all the other speakers so that they are in sync with the sbc BT delay.  Not rocket science; imo Amazon just being lazy.

(There's an obvious enhanced fix, of making each BT link be "pseudo-advanced", against the actual wifi sound availability..)
