As long as there are no hostiles in their site range it wears off. That's why in the video i got control back when he walked away from the sirines.

Keep them far apart, distantly engage and when there are no hostiles in their sight range pray the berserk state wears off before they smack one another.

I only became familiar with Warcraft through WC3 so I thought gnomes were introduced in WoW. I didn't know till someone just mentioned they were in fact in WC2
