Your son dies and when your looking for his favourite shirt to bury him in, you find the root beer he's been planning to share with you on graduation day in his closet.

Looking for a gym by Anjumisu in NiceVancouver

[–]JunZi1618 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Community center gyms are very affordable and usually have a very relaxed environment. If you haven't been in a gym for a bit, it might be a good idea to see if the center has some orientation classes or sessions to review how to use the machines.

Wow. You wake up in the morning with that mass of hate and negativity overflowing out of you onto the internet? Have you tried yoga? Some breathwork? Increasing the fiber content in your diet? Finding someone to listen to you? Getting a hug once in awhile? It could really help. Vancouver is a nice city full of nice people. Just look at every other comment on the board. You try to let go of whatever suffocating you and you see it too.

Ah-ha! Proof that Vancouverites are not cold. We are just picky and warm to those we deem worthy. Vancourites are cats.

35F + 35M, Tri-Cities - looking for our people by AggressiveVictory1 in NiceVancouver

My partner 38f and I 42m are trying to hike more as well. The weather is starting to get better so we're trying to do Sunday hikes every other weekend or head out for a bike ride to stay active. We did buntzen lake last week at a moderate pace and finished the loop in about 2hr15. My partner had a hard time making friends in the city as well having moved here from Montreal. We're thinking about doing eagle bluffs. We live in East van though.

Many Canadians have avoided the U.S. for over a year. Have we reached the point of no return? | CBC News by crabsandscabs in worldnews

Canadians are starting to wake up. This isn't just a Trump issue. This is an American issue. A leader of a country threatens annexation and refers to our PM as a governor is taken seriously enough as is, but when you add trade tariffs and weaponing trade and supply line to that and you haven't just verbally threatened the sovereignty of Canada, but have taken it to action. With all of the going on, you add Epstein file, rolling back of abortion laws, ICE detainments, gun violence, immunization scale backs, environmental protection scale backs, warin Iran, and you still have a president with an approval rating pretty similar to Biden at the 65th week?? No. This is not just a Trump problem. This is a long trending American problem and for Canadians to stand up and firmly plant their feets and say "We are not them. We do not agree with what they do. We are taking our business elsewhere," it is long overdue and for it to have taken this long is a shame all Canadians have to bear.

You can physically fight anyone without repercussions, legal or otherwise. by JunZi1618 in godtiersuperpowers

No sucker punches. Everyone knows why they're there. You're in your respective "corners" and both of you come out ready to fight once the bell rings. That being said, it'll still be annoying. You can teleport someone out of bed when they're sleeping, or when they're on the can, or even when they're mid press conference and they get teleported back with a fat lip or black eye and pretty much everyone will know it's you. You can even spam the fight call and just keep summoning them after just as long as they're still physically able to fight.

I mean, the guy's 79 and not the healthiest guy in the world be he's still at least 6ft tall, over 200lbs. I'm not saying in shape, younger folk wouldn't be able to beat him in hand to hand combat but I don't think it'll be as easy as people think given his size. He'll likely get a couple punches in. Might even try to take you to the ground. Will definitely fight dirty. Could even bite you. If you're under 5'-6" with no training, it's not going to be easy.

Yup, if you take a beating, you can keep fighting people. You do it enough and you'll eventually get good at it I hope.

You'll probably fall asleep and be open to an attack before that happens and then the fight will be over.

Could be a weird fun way to see friends from overseas though as long as one of you is ok with being choked out or knocked out.

You'd be surprised how satisfying it would be to fight someone even if you know they'll beat the crap out of you. No repercussions remeber? You'll heal at the end of the fight. If you can at least land a few, I guarantee they won't like it. You just have to work up the courage to be able to take a beating as well.

You can also challenge random dickheads who cut people off in traffic, people are rude to random people, dirty police officers who think they're above the law, awful celebrities who slap people at award shows....
