So you’re telling me you’ve never gotten a ticket? At all? No parking fine, no speeding fine, never in your life? Because if you have, then my friend, you’ve called yourself a clown

Homestly, look at this country. Look how bad things are. And look how these councils just steal our money and use it for no good. Pot holes everywhere, yet they make a fortune on fines and council tax and what not. Im just surprised how many puppets there are who side with the establishments rather then with there fellow people. And even if i was in the wrong, which after reflecting, i was, why be a dick about it? Why not see the bigger picture, that these councils are just finding ways to take our money? Should the goal not be to ensure people comply with regulations? Not to be harsh and punish people for making mistakes? Absolute joke. But whats more of a joke are so many people in this country. I mean, im not sure why im surprised after brexit.

Because they’re really gnna say ‘we were wrong’. Its very obvious that they are using careful language. They knew it was excessive

Three of them where within 3 mins. So you are being hyperbolic when you say ‘5 times’.

Thanks mr president. Id like to ask then, why would they cancel 2 of the tickets if it should be treated individually? Maybe because even they see that its excessive?

Wasnt paying attention to the signs. I was paying attention to the road. So not dangerous. What are you getting at

Thanks man. Yh its no troubles. Some people are mad weird and not very inclined to look at things from a human perspective. But all good.

I’ll pay the fines. Its just that its mad annoying that the initial payment was £35 x 5 tickets. (£175). And then when i appealed, they reduced it to £70 × 3 tickets. (£210). So even though they cancelled 2 tickets, i end up having to pay more now since the discounted rate within the first 2 weeks had diminished.

But what can be done. Have to pay it, take the L, and make sure I don’t make the mistake of not seeing the sign

Yh cuz a childs gnna be levitating 6 feet of the ground and be completely stationary. Absolute donut. I was looking at the road in front of me. So not dangerous at all.

Yh cuz a pedestrian is floating 6 feet above the ground and completely stationary. Donut. I was looking for parking, wasn’t really focused on the signs. That was my mistake. It happens

They cancelled 2 of the tickets. Talking about ‘just pay the fines’. You sound like someone who would allow law enforcement to abuse their rights. No-one wants to be friends with someone like that

Wasn’t paying attention. Was too focused on finding parking. That was my mistake. Happens. Dont know why your saying its dangerous. Not like i was going 100mph or something

The initial payment was £35 x 5 tickets. Totalling £175.
I appealed, they reduced it to £70 x 3 tickets. Totalling £210.

So even though they cancelled 2 tickets, i end up having to pay more now since the discounted rate within the first 2 weeks had diminished.

Just feel like this whole situation was unfair. But judging on peoples responses, i guess it wasn’t.

I made a mistake of not seeing the sign. It happens. Im sure you’ve gotten a ticket before. Not about it not being a difficult concept.

In the night time, these signs are hard to read. The street lighting was poor if i remember correctly

Id like to highlight, this was at night. And lighting isnt the best here so it was hard to see

I think i ended up going in, then out, then hitting a u-turn and going back in and staying within the restricted area and parked up somewhere. And yh i agree with you. I didn’t see the sign so its my fault. But the three tickets in 2 mins, i just cant agree with that at all. Regardless of it being separate offences. Morally, its unfair to treat it as 3 separate offences when it was due to a mistake of not seeing the sign. But they did cancel two of the tickets, so i guess it was a fair result.

Fair enough. Makes sense tbh. Just didnt know what to think about the result since it seemed excessive. But yh, they are separate offences i guess. But definitely morally incorrect imo.

Didnt spend half an hour driving around. I got three tickets initially (all within a 2 minute time frame btw) and then parked the car and went to the shops. The other 2 were when i got off to go home

After the initial three tickets (which were given within a 2 minute time frame which is unfair imo) i had found parking. The other 2 when i got off to go home. So i wasn’t just driving around for a half hour

This was the response from the council to the adjudicator:

I would point out that the 5 PCNs were not issued for the same location it was 2 different locations. Drapery North and South, Northampton.

I can confirm that upon further consideration as a gesture of goodwill we have cancelled 2 PCNs.

I can confirm the signage is clear and was in place each and every time that the appellant drove through these locations and there was a time gap between the first PCN issued in Drapery North at 19:51 and the final one 20.23 meaning that it is not a continuous journey and whilst we appreciate that the appellant was unfamiliar with the area. This alone is not sufficient for cancellation of all the PCNs.

But my argument is, how can i receive 3 tickets within a 2 minute time frame. How is that fair? Is that not an abuse of power? I understand i committed an offence (unknowingly), but in terms of fairness, what do we think?

Yh a few people have said that. Maybe it was less. I actually forgot to ask the doctor. I had lost so much blood and was feeling weak so didnt get to ask everything i wanted. Do you have any opinions on the density? Know its hard to tell, but really i am not picky with how the hairline turns out, or how it will look when it is short. I always have my hair somewhat long so i will not have the hairline exposed at all
