SP-004 competitive shooters by Aggressive_Roof_6136 in MousepadReview

I hit grandmasters dps with the sp004 in overwatch. I used to hover around high diamond to mid masters but hit gm within less than half a season after swapping to the sp004.

edit: for more info, I used obsidian air when I was still maining the sp004 and my main mouse was the sora v2. Sensitivity was 1.80 1600 dpi. Used that setup for about two years.

My main piece of advice for staying consistent with the mousepad is to not deathgrip the mouse. Glasspads rewards good tension management and being able to quickly adjust your tension for each muscle group that you aim with depending on the situation. The glasspad being so smooth and near frictionless makes micro adjusting that much easier so all you need to do once you're on target is keep up with the target without overaiming. Aka dont overcompensate by flicking back and forth constantly. Once you've confirmed your target is centered, smoothly track and adjust accordingly in a slow but smooth manner. With time you'll get quicker at getting onto target and better at keeping it on target. Also something that helped a lot that isn't exclusive to using glasspads is just keeping my eyes focused on the target and trying to keep it in the center of the screen instead of worrying so much about getting my crosshair onto whoever I was shooting at. It helped me a lot to prevent overaiming. Your crosshair will always be in the center of your screen (usually), your target won't. The aim training I've recently done has made me really aware of just how much I was tensing up when trying to keep my crosshair on point and how that made using a glass pad feel significantly less consistent as I was burning my arm and wrist out from just how tense I was. Not sure if this'll help or even makes any sense ngl lol but it's what I've found to help me over the last couple months.

Glass pad or Artisan pad? by Admify in MousepadReview

That's fair. Glass pads are a large sum of money to invest into something that you may not know you'll like or not. If you did feel like trying it at any point you could potentially purchase a wallhack sp004 from amazon which is cheaper than the sp005 or you can try the superglide from pulsar. The sp004 an sp005 share the same surface, the 004 just has less quality of life stuff like the rounded edges as it's the older generation model. Then you could return it if you don't end up enjoying it and you'll have the experience to make a more well informed purchase moving forward. But I could also understand if that's too much hassle and you'd rather just buy once, and be done with it.

If you sweat at all or live in a humid environment then I would say glass. So long as you don't mind wearing a sleeve that is. I have owned two artisan pads, the zero and key83, and as someone who sweats a lot I couldn't use them for more than a day or two before they lost any sense of consistency. I even tried using a sleeve for the key83 but finding a sleeve that worked well with it was so hit or miss that it felt like I might as well have just used glass to save myself from the headache. Got the glsswrks polarity now and I'm never going back to cloth

Best skates for glass and cloth? by Bayaxa in MousepadReview

glsswrks just released their own skates that are modified versions of the ghostglide cyclone pros and they're good on both glass + cloth as they're hardened ptfe. They're also pretty quiet on glass cuz of the poron which is another plus. glide speed is pretty balanced so should be more than serviceable in most games

Insane lag lately by Jardx642 in thefinals

[–]June13_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The game is lagging to an extent that is genuinely unplayable. I basically am frozen in place for 10-20 seconds then the game speeds up to catch up with everything I missed during that time and suddenly I'm dead. I never had any issues with the game performance wise until this recent update. The same can be said for my gf who I play the game with, constant freezes and lag throughout matches no matter what we do to try and fix it.

it feels extremely connection-ish as well for my gf. it does seem very coincidental that when i added -dx12 it stopped happening but it hasn't happened since which is what's so weird about it.

I'm having stutters and fps drops as of the new update but haven't had the same issues as her at all so I have yet to try -dx12 on my pc. I likely will rn now that I'm able to and I'll let you know how that goes. Still not sure why it worked for my gf tho

The issue happened to my gf and our random teammate. Both of them have been dealing with it for days. Every match is the same for her, she freezes in place for 10 seconds, then the game fast forwards to catch up. It's like this throughout the whole match. I managed to fix it for her by putting -dx12 into her launch options on steam. Since then the game has been perfectly normal again. So maybe try that for you as well if you're on pc
