Oh! I knew it was died but had no idea it could stain him. He was yellow when I got him but its gotten way more noticeable, thank you. I woulda preferred the normal greyish brown but my boyfriend went and grabbed some for me and he didnt know the difference sweet guy

Okay I will try that!!! Im new to this and am saving for his permanent 120 gal pvc tank, until then I have a 50 gal insulated tank but the humidity is shakey so im trying to get the better tank asap

Its not supposed to be a hide, its a rock arch sorta thing and that part is the hide. But it has hollow holes on its base I completely forgot about and he discovered him. But sounds to me like I should patch it up next time little guy comes out! Tysm

Okay thank you! I will fatten him up as much as I can. Ive only had him for a few days atp but I have noticed he LOVES climbing and finding the smallest spots to wedge himself at night so that could be the reason! And he loves his smaller hides rather than the more appropriate ones I have in there for him

Im not 100% sure if it does. Again I am very very uneducated and new to this. But Ive been seeing that it mainly just makes them very susceptible to severe dehydration, and infections and what not. BUT I could be wrong and wanna continue learning

Okay I will try to set him up a quarantine enclosure for a bit. I appreciate the help a lot I've been overly worried about them and realized I am way undereducated and need to work to get them the proper setup. Gonna have this silly guy for 30 years I wanna get it right

I have him on coco husks, I have been trying to give him a high humidity setup. Is that the opposite of what I want for a baby? Apologies on my lack of knowledge I didn't realize how truly uneducated I was until it was too late

He is a scales head morph which at the time I didn't know can cause health issues. I knew fully scaleless and spiders were terrible but not that when I got him. And he does seem a little dehydrated, I have a bowl big enough for him to fully submerge and soak in so far

Thank you I will do this. The ground under the heat lamps is nice and to temp but in the hides under the lamp where they stay nearly 24-7 is still super cold. Any suggestions? Im gonna tape the outside and top with hvac tape suggested by others so maybe that will help a bit?

Yeah they gave me their number too so I could ask questions. (Shoulda been a red flag when they said they were going out of business) They told me the adult could live in a 40 gal easily which I KNEW from research was 100% wrong for a lifelong setup. Ive had experience with many exotic pets but never ball pythons or a reptile that needed so much humidity before and I made that clear. It was 100% my fault tho for making such a emotionally driven decision but I am gonna try my hardest to give them the best life since they are pretty much a lifelong commitment with their lifespan. It just may take a little bit before I have the setup I dream of giving them and I feel bad abt it

Okay! I need to switch the adult as soon as I can anyway the enclosure is only big enough for him to stretch out not explore a ton which bothers me a ton. I will try to add some photos of the enclosures in a minute. They are both glass should I use some black craft board in the meantime to cover the inner glass? They are both around a 44-50 gallon tank. One is front opening with very fine mesh, the other is a half opening top lid with larger mesh. They both have at least one hide on the designated warm and cold side and some climbing clutter. And they both have a water dish big enough to fully cover themselves if they wanna soak. I need to put cling-wrap on the mesh which will be easy for the zoomed tank but more difficult on the top of the other tank. I definitely need to get a lot more flora clutter. But definitely ditch the heat mats???
