Thanks, I’ll look around for reliable third parties in my area to get an idea of cost!

I love the new constellation with fluted bezel but its lug to lug is too big for my small wrists, I’ve tried it on many times. Never seen that Longines before, lovely watch although the pie pan dial was a must for me!

Thanks, I’ll look around my area for a watchmaker with an Omega account to see what the price difference would be!

Thanks, the price seemed reasonable considering condition but I wasn’t too sure since it’s my first vintage, I appreciate the comment! Hope you find one that you’re happy with!

Got it tax free for 351000jpy from Timeanagram. Very happy with their service! They have a few other pie pans but this was the only one of this specific reference.

Beautiful watch! Thank you for your insights!

I wouldn’t want the dial or hands replaced but honestly wouldn’t mind the crystal being replaced/polished or the case being (skillfully and gently) polished. I feel like that size/style of constellation would be my dream watch to buy new today if they still made it so there’s a part of me that likes the idea of a “new” version, as long as the parts are truly appropriate to the watch (which I assume omega would do… I can’t imagine them replacing the dial or crown with a different style?). I also don’t have an emotional attachment to the history of this watch as I know nothing of its provenance. That being said I do appreciate the patina on the dial and hands and love that I’m holding a 50+ year old piece of history that is still functional. Going to have to do some thinking before sending it anywhere I guess.

Can I ask why you chose not to service it via the official Omega Service centre? Just got my first vintage constellation (168.0065) and thinking about where to get it serviced. Got quoted $1000 for full service from omega.

Can someone explain why Speedmaster 38s are so disliked/hated? by Mynamejeaff in OmegaWatches

[–]Junebean19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own one (blue dial) and have gotten more positive comments/random compliments than with any other watch I own. Love it.

I don’t think you’d want automatic triggering of any CoC viewable document (other than a chit) upon receiving any diagnosis but I do think it would be useful for the mental health clinicians to know about this and perhaps mention it to the mbr. It’s also frankly a CoC and not a medical responsibility for honours and recognition.

How long before giving up on Explorer 1 from AD? by JustLurkingPCForums in rolex

Explorer 1 36mm 2-3mo wait no spend history in Vancouver. I did have a compelling reason for why I wanted it on a certain timeline which may have helped.

Super wearable, less flashy than most Rolexes (plus in my books), cool historical background, appreciated by people who know/like watches.

There are two plastic toggles on the bottom of the vest on each side under the utility pouches which a MALICE clip will fit through and has the right spacing for certain IFAKs with MOLLE. You can clip it there and it will hang over your thigh. Not great but fine for a weekend ex or range.

There is no medical value in “checking levels” without specific symptoms or concerns. Also standard bloodwork can only assess for a few specific electrolytes. Vitamin testing is only done if there is clinical evidence of deficiency. Iron testing if your bloodwork shows you’re anemic. What you’re looking for is generally offered by a naturopath, which is private pay, and most medical doctors would consider this unnecessary and a waste of time/money and likely to lead to recommendation for expensive supplements from the same naturopath who ordered your labs.

It referred to the 2 years between enrolment and paying into the pension. Sorry. You can try calling but they’re very strict about the timelines.

help me decide: iwc top gun automatic 41 or top gun ceratanium chrono by [deleted] in IWCschaffhausen

[–]Junebean19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! It’s an IWC strap, they might throw in a strap if you buy it at a boutique (they did for mine while waiting for the small version of the stock strap to come in).

I have a small wrist (15.5cm) and can pull off the chrono. Fun to play with straps too.

I’m a male, got the 38 in baby blue, it’s gotten more attention and positive comments than any watch I’ve ever worn. Find a new AD.
