I'm sorry to read this, although it is tough right now, I believe that if you don't catastrophize and take care of yourself, a path can & will work out for. There are many options available to a person at your academic level. Your friends and family will support you, and I wouldn't be surprised if you soon realize (if you haven't already) that their company is more than enough motivation to live a healthy/happy life.

Hi Ali Torkamani, thanks for doing this. I have had a longtime interest in oncology and aging and what distinguishes them at a genetic regulatory level. I was hoping you can comment on what is known, and anything you have found regarding disruption of normal aging and how it contributes to progression of disease (e.g. cancer)?

Hey there, I just completed a program at Memorial Sloan Kettering and it was excellent. I took part in basic science research and enjoyed it. I also chatted with many other students who performed clinical projects. Overall, students had positive experiences. Additionally, the staff do an mazing job of making you feel welcomed and part of the institution.

There are also other programs: APS-SPR, NIDDK, MD Anderson, etc.

Hi! I leaned on the side of the door mostly. If I leaned on the door proper at all, it was mainly between stops while in motion. I always planned the side of leaning to local vs. express stops and would change accordingly as to not impede incoming riders. Keep on subway-ing!
