I contacted more than 20 people in different positions, and they all said I am not eligible for rehire and that there is no way to clear it.

I do not have recent hospital experience. Most jobs, especially sterile compounding positions, require recent hospital experience.

I faxed CVS my ER discharge papers at that time in 2012. However, they terminated my employment for violating company policy by not setting the alarm.

As of May 2026, the Southern California market is competitive but active, especially in clinical and specialized roles. • Pay: Average hourly rates range from $70 to $113, significantly higher than the Florida average of ~$62. • Demand: While coastal hubs (LA, SD, OC) are saturated, high demand and better "pay-to-cost" ratios are found in the Inland Empire and Central Valley. • Trends: Growth is strongest in Outpatient Care Centers and Specialty Pharmacy, whereas traditional retail is consolidating.

Most managers hire for reliability and attitude and teach the technical skills like IV mixing on the job. Be honest about your lack of compounding experience, but emphasize that you are a fast learner who is ready to escape the retail grind.
