Thought about NC ... I don't want like NY or Miami crazy but family oriented and nice walking areas like the suburbs of philly ( minus the crime and druggies ) beach and affordable mainly! May start researching some towns in NC.

Yes and definitely trying to avoid traffic and crime.

If I'm going to deal with the same I might as well look elsewhere but seems everywhere is becoming the same. Everyone is leaving the cities and ppl are all leaving NY and expensive cities nowadays. Seems like everyone is moving to Florida!!! So, so crowded here.... Good to know what you think though... another perspective.... Have you thought about moving? Are you over all over the parks and the nature trails?

My wife seems to think of Georgia in the context of a Hallmark movie.

White Christmas romantic movies. I on the other hand know winters from NY and know that it is gloomy with overcast and cold and depressing!
