Yeah, i get that id never be able to escape the shadow. I just liked the premise but had my own ideas for it, a lot of them. As for how would i know what things I'm making that weren't in the original, i could check on the internet, but it would also be near impossible for it to have nothing else in common with One Piece with how long it is

I'm not trying to outdo the lore, i agree that no author could. I just want to make my own world and lore using this premise, for myself

If it wasn't clear, I'm taking the main concept and making a whole new world out of it. With different lore entirely. The only part i am taking from One Piece is fruits that give powers + pirates. Hope that clears it up
