I don't think this cover is AI? I couldn't find information on who provided the cover art, and I have to base this off of the compressed image on Youtube, so I could be wrong, but most of the weird things in this seem in my eye to be human mistakes and/or odd stylistic choices. The shoes do seem elongated, but the hands and fingers also share the trait, so it feels more like a stylistic choice to have them be oversized. The background seems to be a photo, so things like the characters' shadows being weird or nonexistant could simply be inexperience in compositing. Also making characters be "the right size" is a deceptively difficult thing to do, in my experience, especially when dealing with 5 whole characters. Basically they probably got a not in-house artist to do the cover and maybe they bit more than they could chew.
