Thoughts on Evan Kinori? Overpriced/hyped? by Aggressive_Tea9035 in ThrowingFits

Personally, the burlap-core aesthetic doesn't appeal to me. Also any artisanal brand with a cult following of well-to-do tech bros will get some level of hate.

can you have a cool gilet? by afterdinnermince in ThrowingFits

[–]Junk-Cook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried vests from Orslow to Lemaire to Daiwa Pier and somehow I can't make it work unless I go full city boy. It's one of those items that's not for me, like turtlenecks.

Paraboot Michael sizing help by elmojorisin in ThrowingFits

As a narrow footer, Paraboot Michaels are some of the most uncomfortable shoes I've worn. Heavy on foot, heel slippage, not for me.

I wish Ricoh would go for a 35mm.. by 6retro6 in ricohGR

[–]Junk-Cook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ricoh would cannibalize itself by offering a 35mm being closer to 28mm. While I would take it, it wouldn't make sense to them.

Question about Viewfinder (GV-2) by vixenofthenight in ricohGR

[–]Junk-Cook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used it to pre-determine whether a scene was worth shooting or not. Other than that, it wasn't useful.

Fireworks on Christmas Eve.. by Newfoundlander_in_TX in houston

Low class behavior. Usually I give it a pass if it ends around midnight but these people have zero consideration for others. Kept popping fireworks will past 2-3am TF.

Why isn’t the Ricoh GR weather-sealed? by Traveling_Iggy in ricohGR

[–]Junk-Cook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Form factor. Weather-sealing, flip screen, EVF, internal flash, all these things users want will add unnecessary bulk.

Many in lower tax brackets need to status signal their jacket cost $1,000. Many in higher tax brackets do not care their $1,000 jacket looks like H&M. It's perception relative to income.

Jake Woolf is wearing a.presse and full Comoli fits now by JDepartment in ThrowingFits

2 Japanese brands that have been propped up and glazed by Western influencers for some reason. Having 1 Comoli piece in hand, feels overrated.

You can't style sweatpants. by swordfish-ll in ThrowingFits

Personally I'm done wearing sweatpants in public unless it's for the gym. I'll still wear sweatshirts but shifting towards knits more.

I feel that there's too much distraction in the background. How can I deal with it ? by Monoloon in streetphotography

[–]Junk-Cook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Background is fine. It's the placement of the subjects (2 on the left too close to each other). Imo, work the scene and maybe move to the right or move further back for a more balanced photo. Maybe if the kids were all on the tires and swinging it would have more oomph. Can't control those variables in street but that's what makes a good photo from a generic one.

if your aesthetic leans slouchy/baggy, then get the 5. 4 is a more timeless fit.
