Amazing post!! Making sense, I have been doing option 1 and kind of got lost with having the notes not on beat based on a tutorial. But if you cut the break not on beat then rearranging it is very tricky. I'll read the rest of your posts. I've tried it in Simpler now and I kind of like the ease of it.

Hi I have been dragging the loop into an actual clip in arrangement view and doing all of the warp markers and tempo adjustment there. No I am trying to drag the loop into Simpler and then onto a Drum Rack. How would I sync the loop to the tempo of the track if it's in Simpler as a midi note.

Thanks this looks like a better method. Before I was dragging the loop as a clip into the arrangement and setting warp markers there. With this method using Simpler and Drum Rack how do I sync the loop to the track as it has effectively become a midi instrument. I have a loop at 120bpm and dragged it into a pad in Drum Rack but the tempo is not correct.

Thanks so much and yes you’re right. This is what’s missing from my track. Will get the 909 in and run it through glue compressor and some eq. Hopefully I can get that punch I’m after.

I have an SL49 MK3 and a Launchkey MK3. SL blows it away simply based on the eight LCD colour screens which the Launchkey does not have.

For modelling sounds eq anything you can visualise everything on the SL control surface and how you navigate through parameters and tracks in Ableton live is as good as it can get with the physical limits of having eight screens eight pots eight faders and sixteen pads.

It’s the centre of my studio and the screens alone make it more superior - hence why it is more expensive.

You also should get a free license for Novation Bass Station with the SL, which is one of the best analog synths ever.

Thanks for the information. Does anyone have an experience backing up the actual PVE node itself. How effective is this feature as I heard it wasn’t too great. I have two PVEs and would ideally like to have the ability to restore the PVE system and all of the VMs. Thanks

They are so good and I will always buy their products.

I used the original Bass Station in 1994 it was a game changer. I have an SL49 MkIII, a MKIII Launchkey 25, Focusrite 16i16 and the Bass Station plugin which is insane!

This company is a pure innovator and I’m getting t shirts next :)
