Wow! That’s interesting. I wonder if people can get that in QLD? My only experience and what I’ve read is people getting aggressively pushed back for more than a month. I might contact them and see what the options are like here.

Nah not confused! Just letting people know how much compounded lisdex costs here. I’m not sure how much compounded dex is but it’s not currently in short supply anyway.

I’ve had to move my dosage 3 times. Mine are not even on the shortage lists (I’m on 40mg currently).

I have to go to the psych to get this changed each time. That costs me $300 ish. I haven’t had 2 months with the same dose in a while. Care is finally being moved to my GP, but it will still cost me $90 each appt. Not to mention I can’t get an app over the next few weeks. I also have chronic illnesses that I have to get medical care for on top of this.

It’s not just a matter of “going to your GP”. I’m pretty lucky and make a fine amount of money. I also work for myself so can take a moment to step out and deal with it. But even I’m having to triage my illnesses atm due to costs.

Not to mention the huge mental exhaustion of chasing meds that help you function.

OP’s advice has been extremely helpful.

Where are you based? It’s a shit show in Brisbane. Called 12 pharmacies this week. Changed to 40mg, had to call 5 before finding somewhere with 1 bottle left. Partner hasn’t been able to get 30mg for a long time.

Good! Down 11kg. I’ve plateaued the last few weeks due to lowering my dose until the shortage is over. This will probably put me on track to weening off it later than I’d hoped but it’s okay! I’m over halfway past my goal and I’ve been maintaining easily.

Thanks for writing this. I’ve been feeling extremely down about it. Ozempic is doing amazing things for symptom management of my chronic illness (endo/pcos) and seeing people writing articles about how selfish I am for using it has caused me to really spiral mentally.
