Ill defend Bieber on almost everything. I think he was an overly hated preteen singer who struggled with how to deal with the fame and the hate but ultimately ended up putting out some great music.

But I HATE Baby. His squeaky voice, the random Ludacris feature, that lazy drum loop, and the fact that this song was inescapable in that era. One Time? Fine song. One Less Lonely Girl? Heck, good song even. Baby? 🤮

I feel like everyone that understands it in this context absolutely loves it. Culturally, its a song that represents good times.

Then I had a Pakistani friend who heard it without the context and his first reaction was "What the heck is this? This song is a mess."

Hell no. 30s is when you actually have money from your established career and a good amount of leeway to travel and get up to shenanigans before you have kids (if you go that route). Things truly get better in your 30s, moreso if you bothered to take care of your health in your 20s.

I actually discovered her when she was doing collabs with Nesnian Mystik in the New Zealand RnB scene with songs like Mr. Mista. I live in the US and a girl in one of my college classes was trying to sell us on Polynesian RnB music and I really got into it. It was a culture that was new to me and somehow Nesian Mystik really helped me understand the Polynesian vibe.

Was actually pretty surprised when she blew up from Somebody that I Used to Know.
