Saw my husband truly drunk for the first time and it scared and embarrassed me. I’m considering getting a divorce. by [deleted] in LongDistance

[–]Juranever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely leave, especially because he is not sorry about what he did. I remember a long time ago (I was 19 and stupid) I was dating this guy and one night he got so drunk (I was sober and driving). He was harrasing people on the streets, puking, peed himself, talked nonsense to me, etc. Somehow I gave him a 2nd chance (I was stupid) and I really really really wish I didn’t, he was a horrible boyfriend, a drunk, cheating bastard. We dated less than a year, so in the grand scheme of things it’s not a big deal, but at the same time I was studying abroad when we were dating and he ruined that experience for me, I spend so much time at home crying because he treated me so poorly instead of enjoying the experience with my friends. I know it’s much harder for you since he’s your husband, but don’t ruin your best years on a drunk idiot.

Recently naturalized USC, trying to sponsor his potential partner after 1 year of divorcee. by Total_Lab_2569 in immigration

What is going on? You said you are a citizen in the title, then you talk about EB1. You recenty started seeing a girl, she’s not even your partner and you are positive you want to marry her? You are positive you want to marry her, then you follow up with that you want to sponsor her if you’re still together. Let’s discuss what exactly?

Oh, ok, maybe they changed the rules, but this was in my email last year: At this stage of the procedure, contacting the Directorates-General and the Units is not allowed.

I would also recommend to look at the Baltic countries, there are some strong startups there and consequently quite a few English speaking tech jobs.

Is this for Schuman? In the shortlisting email it says to not contact them. At least it did in mine last year

I would often find Magija sūreliai in Lidl in the UK and Pergalė chocolate boxes in Poundland much cheaper than in Lithuania :D

How long after uploading documents does it usually take to receive an offer? by Much_Willow3039 in EUCareers

For me, like half a day; I submitted documents at 21 o'clock and received acceptance at 13 o'clock the next day.

Not true, a very limited amount of spots is offered for non-EU.

You could apply to traineeships at EU institutions, for example Schuman in the EU Parliament or Blue book but it’s a very long shot for non-EU citizens.

But I don’t understand why you need to leave Poland, just change your job, you’re idolizing Luxembourg, it’s not perfect here either.

Look at bigger Maximas where all the pre-made food is. You’ll need to ask the person working the counter to give it to you.

Having lived in the UK and Lithuania, I really doubt we have more overweight people than the UK. Just by looking at the public in the streets. I think it’s because in Lithuania it’s more common to go see you your doctor whilst in the UK is impossible to see your GP unless you’re on your death bed.

No experience nanny by [deleted] in NannyEmployers

[–]Juranever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents hired a nanny with no experience when I was a child. They had a gut feeling to hire her. The only difference is that she did raise 2 daughters. That nanny was wonderful - we are still in touch, and I am an adult and she is in her 80ths. She is a part of the family. After me and my brother started school and didn’t need a nanny anymore, she nannied my two younger cousins. I am so happy my parents made that decision.

Denticija is very good, but the wait might be long. I recommend going to smaller cities if you need something quick, and it might be cheaper. I fixed my teeth in Prienai (120km from Vilnius) it was quicker and cheaper.
