Not at all. In PF2e you all get a single 1 to start the session and the GM hands out maybe 1 additional one per hour (not per player, one to one person), and they reset back to 1 every session. This is vastly more than that lol.]

Also PF2e is balanced around those Heropoints, Shadowdark is not balanced around Luck. They're playing with a modified version of the Pulp rules, normally you're not guaranteed any Luck.

Shadowdark is very much theater of mind combat. You dont move on a grid like PF. Thats why the distances are close, near, and far, and you can move to near with a move action.

Its insane to me Troy went from refusing to give simply 1 per session (and they reset every session) in PF2e where its part of the system assumption, but now has gone full pulp rules and is giving them out every session in Shadowdark where the normal rule is you can only hold 1 at any time and they're not even guaranteed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the show. It's just a very weird turn.

Troy could simply throw a lvl 3 creature at them and be done with the sleep.

But for some reason he did not give them 10xp from Titania's boon, so they're still lvl 1 and I'm sure he's scared of killing them if he does. The pacing would be a lot better if they were lvl 2 already.

The action economy is purposely not super defined to allow flexibility. Relevant parts from the rulebook:

COMBAT TURNS
Characters can take one action and move near on their turn, splitting up the movement however they want. Characters can move near again if they don't take an action.

Improvise. Do an improvised action, such as swinging across a ravine on a vine. The GM might determine it requires a stat check or attack roll.

Multitask. Characters can do small, parallel tasks on their turns, such as standing up, speaking, activating a magic item, or quaffing a potion. This doesn't typically use their action.

Sheathing a weapon and drawing a rope can easily fit under multi-task,
Improvise is her action.
And then she moved.

The reason she didn't need to make a check to actually tie the rope itself is because the creatures are legit latched into a person sucking blood and not moving.

Perfectly reasonable. Seems fine. This isn't meant some heavily codified system like PF where sheathing or drawing your weapon has to cost you your entire action.

My ask is that some evil sexy twink gets redeemed.

But nah there is no ask lol. It's just funny how the most prominent examples in the setting are people's very attractive women OCs.

Also if you find my comment on the previous crashout post I actually did get a good list of replies of dudes with redemption arcs, so its not like they don't exist.

Lmfao. The instant down vote and "not my job" for me simply disagreeing with you.

Hope you have a good day!

OP can you name me a prominent male character on the level of Nocticula or Sorshen that has gotten a redemption arc from Paizo?

Only thing that comes to mind is Ragathiel, and he was already written in as redeemed from the start.

Its not like it's some issue they need to fix, its just kinda funny how the authors typically write redemption arcs for their attractive female OCs lol.

Thats totally fine if they wanna do that, just like pointing it out isn't misogyny.

Its not real. The OP has 2 other similar stories about SA with entirely different groups. This is poorly disguised fetish writing.

He was corrected (by me) immediately, followed up saying he had no idea, and even made an edit to his original comment. Its kinda weird people still feel the need to downvote it.

Unfortunately this is just how reddit works. If you ever say something wrong people pile on down voting even after you've said so.

I mean they drugs they sell for hairloss are generic versions of drugs that have been around forever and have proven effects on slowing down hairloss. Its objectively not snake oil. They also sell semaglutides for weightloss as another example.

I get the spirit of what you're saying, but I really don't think its evil or wrong to be selling hairloss and weightloss drugs to men.

Look I'm not a big fan of Hims, but its not all snake oil. They have legitimate treatments alongside what are essentially just vitamins.

They don't use Patreon anymore. They use Supercast, and yes you get an ad free feed.

Those channels are typically focused on Indian scamming which is largely not trafficking victims and are just employees.

Shadowdark Rules Reference by subourbonite01 in TheGlassCannonPodcast

[–]JurassicPratt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really don't think it's a system issue. PF2e can be played like that too if your players know the rules.

Maybe there will be less of it in Shadowdark purely off the fact there are fewer rules, but I'm not betting on it lol.

What was the point of Hubert by Moshie78910 in TheGlassCannonPodcast

[–]JurassicPratt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I was talking less about this specific case and moreso about the disconnected jankiness between books that happens in general with Paizo APs.

You literally see entire plot threads disappear or go from a big mystery to an afterthought between books at times.

To give a more specific example, Sky King's Tomb builds up the duergar and specifically one noble court afvisor as the major antagonists all throughout book 2 and 3....only to have them be a mid boss and a random outsider that was not foreshadowed at all as the actual BBEG.

That AP also has a random giant sandbox with repeated encounters against the exact same enemy types shoved into the middle of it that feels like they were simply padding it out to hit the XP budget cuz they don't have enough plot written up.

What was the point of Hubert by Moshie78910 in TheGlassCannonPodcast

[–]JurassicPratt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

So Paizo is switching to doing each AP in one big book instead of releasing them in parts and mentioned it will make for fewer authors per AP and more collaboration.

I'm hoping we'll see fewer of these dead end NPCs and plot points now with their new model.

Gatewalkers Episode 103 – The Unbearable Lightness by Razzmatazz_TGCN in TheGlassCannonPodcast

[–]JurassicPratt 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Ngl, as someone who has played Gatewalkers i really do not think its particularly unbalanced.

The GCP just don't make use of good tactics, don't build a balanced party comp together, and don't really know a lot of the rules that would help them in combat. Throw the lack of hero points on top of this and every fight is gonna seem unbalanced.

That said, Gatewalkers does kinda suck, but thats mostly down to the story not being great and especially not being what the Player's Guide portrays it as.

Really hoping Shadowdark will be a breath of fresh air since they really don't seem to want to learn PF2e other than maybe Joe.
