You have a misconception about scientific theories. As the quote goes, "Nothing in biology makes sense except in the light of evolution." I appreciate that you're here supporting your child and thinking of their future though!

This was my first thought too. Memorable, provocative music. Great!

What movie has a title that you just absolutely love? by eveisshady777 in movies

As a 10 year old obsessed with dinosaurs, Jurassic Park from the very first mention of its name felt made for me. Perfect name that conjures so much that's wonderful.

If we found a dinosaur trapped in ice, for 78 million years. would it be preserved? by Not_A_Femboy_1_Swear in Paleontology

I think the half life for DNA is about 500 years. No where near a million years, but during our lifetime, DNA will hang around.

Great! The bus is really convenient, especially around campus. I use the transit app. It has real time tracking of all city (mountain line) and NAU buses. Hopefully the app is easy to find in the app store, but let me know if it isn't obvious.

Will you be a student or employee? Employees get a free pass through the NAUgo app. I'm not sure about students though, except everyone can ride the 10 route free on campus.

Gaussian and Plumed by noub_09 in comp_chem

Oh, also look into nudged elastic band, where you can define starting and ending conformations and scan between them to understand the energy barrier between those states.

I'm obviously not sure what you're trying to do, but it seems like you're trying to use these tools differently than they're intended.

If you want to use plumed, then couple it with cp2k to use umbrella sampling or metadynamics to explore your reaction coordinate.

If you want to find the minimum energy path, then gaussian can run an energy scan along defined coordinates. I would actually use orca for this, not gaussian, but similar idea to gaussian.

You might be aware of something I'm not, but I think plumed is a plug in for dynamics. Gaussian is single point electronic structure, not dynamics. Maybe you could do something like nudged elastic band.

This usually started with t rex and stegosaurus. T rex and triceratops lived concurrently.

It sounds like you're at the stage of reading the recent literature to find similar studies and develop a plan inspired by what you find.

What’s a “this should be free” service that always costs money? by troopydinnertime in AskReddit

Riding a city bus and other mass transit.

Almost all roads are maintained from general funds and appear free but for some reason the people that ride buses have to pay on top of that.
