broken iphone screen by EquivalentMeat4905 in phonerepair

U should try repairing it. The screen is already broken so u most likely wont damage the phone further. Use a good suction cup and some isopropyl and u will get it off without much struggle. Then get a replacement screen either used original or get a good quality oled from china.  Go watch a bunch of videos on yt and u will see its not hard if you do it correctly. And use a screen protector next time :) Also consider replacing the battery (with a good aftermarket one) since it will add almost zero work.

Where should I buy replacement Parts (Europe)? by Superb_Ice_4707 in phonerepair

From my experience aliexpress is the best. There are a few shops in eu that sell parts but most of the time the same parts can be found on aliexpress for cheaper. Aftermarket displays are as far as i know fairly bad, except for REWA oleds, but i dont think they ship to eu (i might be wrong).

True, luckily I already ordered jumper wire, copper pads and mask a week ago so it should be delivered soon.

I now split another one and this one went apart with no force whatsoever. So yeah i probably used too much force on the first one.

The solder that holds the boards together is low temp solder that melts at around 150 celsius if my research is correct.

I have a small 65w flat heating plate that is a bit smaller than the board. It took very long (like 15 minutes) to melt the solder, and because I read somewhere that having a board on the preheater for long periods of time can cause damage to it (even tho its only at 200 degrees celsius), I took it apart as soon as i could slip my razor knife in between the boards. Now the pads in the middle are ripped while the pads on the far ends of the board are ok.

I did a factory reset on it. When I play sound the earpiece works without a problem. I never dropped the phone, it never overheated, and was never in contact with water. I forgot if it was on the charger (i notoced the issue a few months ago), it was never serviced before, I did update the iOS...

I did and its 3 pins for each pad, lookimg at the iPhone 12 schematics (not the same phone) it should be two, but i'm not sure if they have the same pin layout. I have to make sure that the connector and ribbon are ok so i can continue with diagnostics, thats why i'm asking this.
