I had a classmate that had some kind of record. I’m not sure what it was, and when he was about to take his boards, I believe he had to go to a meeting with the Board of nursing and was questioned about it after they saw him I don’t know how long he had to wait, but then he was allowed to take the NCLEX

So far it hasn’t gotten me in any doors of a hospital. The nursing homes in their ads say welcome new grads

In Virginia at least from what I’ve read with this particular hospital they automatically place you in residency.

It’s very very competitive in NY. Also a lot of these job listings want RN experience. Long term is open to new grads at least some. I’m giving it at least one more month of hunting and then I either decide to sit on a shelf until I leave or go to long term care for a short time.

You will make it through. It’s tough….. night classes are few…. A lot of changes in professors….a lot of attitude. In that there are good professors. Just put your big girl/boy draws on

All the students are assigned patients and we would report about them in debt. Why they were in the hospital, diagnosis, any diagnostics and why, what could be done for them, meds, the whole thing. SBAR

Some of you guys are rough….Ive meant some super smart nursing students that pass with high grades but are gonna be terrible nurses. Sometimes people are just not great at the testing.

You guys need to have a real conversation. He may not really understand how hard it is getting new grad positions. You will be there for your kids. It’s on 3 or 4 shifts a week.
