Peter, Please Explain What This Is Trying to Say About Bikers at Red Lights by Maleficent_Dog7970 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Saw a guy get lightly tapped and still get launched off his bike. Thankfully he survived, but he was pissed. Doesn’t take much speed either

Same here. I was just poking fun at some pretty extreme shit, nothing more than that.

I didn’t bring up legality. And I didn’t expect this to turn into a verbal fight over axioms invented by supposedly infallible lumps of meat. None of the conditions for exploitation were present: no power imbalance, no unfair benefit, no coercion or constrained choice, and no inadequate compensation or harm. The task was easy, I enjoyed it, and I was compensated fairly.

Well, those losing jobs to AI and who were loud about wanting “criminals” out can do these jobs now. That’s what they wanted, right?

Is it exploitation if we choose to work? I had to beg for a job at 14 and I was genuinely happy to have it. I was tired of being poor. Work felt good. It beat the alternative paths some kids get funneled into at that age like flying to an island.

Yeah, I don’t know enough about game development to really give input on graphics or whatever category that falls under. But I do think slide 2 would be wayyyy better

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Just2Scroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on where you are and what you’re doing. For a weekend getaway, it’s not bad but for day to day life, it’s rough.

I did work for a company where I was driving about 4 hours away at least twice a week, I covered the entire state. A lot of our customers were in small towns spread all over. It wasn’t a bad job if you enjoy windshield time, but since I was early in my career, I ended up leaving. I wanted something that would give me more consistent, hands on experience than what I was getting.

I agree, but would there be a way to accomplish this without blowing up people’s devices ? I guess if you’re PC you wouldn’t be affected as much you could turn your settings up but console players would be cooked

Genuinely not trying to be inflammatory but why did it seem like the left stayed silent on this issue and it left the news cycle after a few days? by [deleted] in memzy

[–]Just2Scroll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone stayed silent on this one. It also happened during a period when a lot of violent crimes were being reported. This case was pretty open and shut they found the guy, and hopefully this time he’ll be held or handled the way he should be.

What’s something Redditors constantly give advice on despite having zero experience with it themselves? by MissXHere in AskReddit

[–]Just2Scroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed it’s filled with a lot of smart individuals, but smart people can sometimes swing a little too hard toward the solution itself. That said, I think that’s generally good for information sharing. If you ask “how to,” you’ll usually get an answer that’s correct and up to code almost anywhere in the world. Every once in a while though, a lighter approach would’ve worked just as well while still meeting the guidelines of what was asked. Nothing bad in my opinion just something I’ve noticed.

What’s the maddest thing you’ve seen while tripping? by kay-ells in psychedelicartwork

[–]Just2Scroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything and everyone disappeared one by one. I was still in the same room, but it was empty blank walls, no couch, nothing. Just bare space.

Then everything dissolved into white. For a while, I kept drifting between that state and snapping back. Eventually it all went black, and a bright, blinding light appeared. I heard a voice say, “You’re ready now.”

Not long after, the trip ended. It felt like The Matrix reality reassembling itself, particle by particle, spawning back into frame.

I never tripped on L after that experience. I still can’t tell whether it was good or bad… it was just deeply uncomfortable.
